For a visit to Chickie's & Pete's in Las Vegas, I'd suggest sticking to drinks rather than food. I was eager to try the Milinese Sandwich, especially after the bartender recommended it. When the server, Maria G, asked if I wanted the olive mix on the sandwich or on the side, I chose to have it on the sandwich because I love olives. However, when the sandwich arrived, I couldn't taste them at all. Instead of offering an additional side of the olive mix or explaining that it was blended into the sauce, Maria took the dish to the back for the kitchen to remake it. Unfortunately, the second version was inedible, with so much sauce that it was dripping off the sides. While they did provide extra olive mix, it was disappointing. The original sandwich, although flawed, was better.
Maria G had the sandwich removed from the bill, but her demeanor was curt. She reminded me of her initial question in a way that came across as unhelpful, suggesting a need for better knowledge of the menu. In a customer service role, a polite and informative approach is key.
