The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is a hidden gem in the city. It's a perfect escape from the scorching summer temperatures and offers something for both kids and adults to enjoy. With a variety of taxidermy, replicas, fossils, and live animals like sharks, fish, and a Burmese python, there is plenty to see and learn about. The exhibits are well-maintained and make for a fascinating visit.

This museum is a great spot to escape the Las Vegas heat for a few hours. It's especially enjoyable for children with an interest in natural history. The museum also participates in the ASTC reciprocity program, which is a bonus for members from out of state. However, there was a bit of confusion at the front desk when they requested confirmation of our membership expiration date, even though our card did not have one listed. It would have been more efficient if the employee had made the call themselves to verify.

Visiting the Las Vegas Natural History Museum was a fantastic way to spend the day. The Treasures of Egypt exhibit was definitely a highlight for me, I was fascinated by the artifacts from King Tut's tomb. The museum has many interesting areas to explore and a lot of valuable information to discover. I purchased tickets in advance, but it turned out there was no line when I arrived. This may have been due to visiting on a weekday, but it was convenient either way.

I can't emphasize enough how amazing this museum is. It's surprising that more people aren't aware of it. The pricing is reasonable, the staff are fantastic, and the exhibits are stunning. Plus, they have their own paleontologist available for inquiries. This museum definitely deserves more recognition. I highly recommend visiting with your family.
