About Hogs & Heifers Saloon

Hogs & Heifers currently operates as Hogs & Heifers Outpost inside the Plaza Hotel & Casino. This is a temporary pop-up following the closure of the saloon’s former Third Street location, while a permanent replacement is developed at Main and Bridger. Visitors following old directions should go to the Plaza rather than searching for the previous bar.

The Outpost carries forward the original’s loud, bawdy and intentionally unpolished personality. Expect forceful bartenders, loud music, dancing on the bar and a crowd that treats the room as part dive bar, part participatory show. It is a better fit for guests who enjoy playful attitude and late-night chaos than anyone seeking quiet cocktails or formal service.

The temporary space is open daily from 1 p.m. to 4 a.m. at 1 Main Street. This is an adult drinking environment, and the experience can shift dramatically with the crowd and event calendar. Check the Plaza’s current page before visiting, especially as construction of the new permanent location progresses.

The atmosphere was fantastic, with the added charm of dining outdoors by a stunning fireplace. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. While the food was delicious, it did feel a bit on the pricey side. We kicked things off with some refreshing Moscow mules and fried calamari, which were excellent, especially the red sauce that accompanied them. For the main course, the crab ravioli was a hit, thanks to its delicious sauce, though the bread was a bit on the harder side.

Hogs & Heifers Saloon is a fantastic spot to visit. Upon arrival, we were quickly seated in the outdoor dining area which was equipped with heaters to keep us comfortable. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious, and the prices were more budget-friendly compared to other nearby restaurants. The restaurant has a cool vibe as it used to be owned by Clint Eastwood, with many pictures of him and movie posters lining the hallway to the bathrooms. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be back on my next visit to Las Vegas.

Absolutely loved Hogs & Heifers Saloon in Las Vegas. The food was excellent—one of us had chicken that was phenomenal, and the steak was quite good, not the best ever but still very satisfying. The ambiance was fantastic with Clint Eastwood pictures adorning the hallway, nice fire pits scattered around, and a very cool little bar. We will definitely be coming back!
