About Museum of Illusions - Las Vegas

This is a hands-on illusion museum rather than a collection viewed from behind ropes. Visitors step into perspective-changing rooms, test visual puzzles and become part of installations designed to make people appear to shrink, float, multiply or defy gravity. Many exhibits work best when someone else takes the photo, and staff members can often help groups find the intended angle.

Most visits take roughly 45 to 90 minutes, although enthusiastic photographers may stay longer. The attraction is especially well suited to families, couples and small groups that want a playful indoor activity on the Strip. The science explanations add substance, but the emphasis remains on participation and memorable pictures rather than a conventional museum tour.

The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to midnight. Timed tickets are sold online and at the reception desk, but the facility is cashless and all ticket sales are final. Children age four and younger enter free. The rooms are generally wheelchair and scooter accessible, though a few slanted-floor experiences can be bypassed. It is located between The Cosmopolitan and The Shops at Crystals, with paid parking available nearby.
