About The Pink Elephant

The fiberglass elephant has marked this south-Strip property since 1964, when the motel operated as the Desert Isle. Originally gray and later painted bright pink, it became a beloved example of the oversized roadside advertising that once competed for drivers’ attention along Las Vegas Boulevard.

The Diamond Inn closed in 2023 and the property is fenced, but the elephant remains visible from the public sidewalk as of the latest documentation. Do not enter the lot or approach through the fence. This is a free, very brief photo stop best combined with the Welcome sign or another south-Strip destination.
