Best Hotels Near the Las Vegas Convention Center by Hall

Choose an LVCC hotel by the hall you will actually use, with mapped walks, Loop and Monorail options, work-trip advantages and honest tradeoffs.

The best convention hotel depends on your hall. Courtyard Convention Center, Residence Inn Convention Center and Las Vegas Marriott are excellent for Central Hall, with mapped walks around 0.3 mile. Fontainebleau and Resorts World are stronger for West Hall. Westgate is useful for Central Hall and has Monorail access, while the free Vegas Loop connects stations within the LVCC campus once you are there.

How to choose, not just what to book

  • Find the hall before the hotel. The LVCC campus is enormous; Central and West Hall hotel rankings are not interchangeable.
  • Multiply the walk by the number of trips. A ten-minute difference matters after two round trips and a full day on a trade-show floor.
  • Use transit as a backup, not an assumption. Monorail and Vegas Loop stations are useful only when they match the event entrance and operating plan.
  • Match the room to the work. Breakfast, a kitchen, a real desk and laundry can matter more than a casino on a five-night convention stay.
Convention Center hotels compared by practical entrance
Hotel Mapped walk Best for Strongest advantage Watch for
Courtyard LVCC Central: 0.3 mi / 6 min Short conventional work stay Very short Central Hall walk Limited resort atmosphere
Residence Inn LVCC Central: 0.3 mi / 6 min Long stays and teams Suites and kitchens Less useful for West Hall
Las Vegas Marriott Central: 0.3 mi / 7 min Full-service business stay All-suite layout near Central Hall Small pool and no casino
Westgate Central: 0.5 mi / 11 min Casino plus transit Dedicated Monorail station Drive route is much longer than walk
Fontainebleau West: 0.6 mi / 14 min Premium West Hall trip Modern full resort close to West Hall Premium scale and pricing
Resorts World West: 0.7 mi / 15 min Groups needing hotel tiers Multiple brands and broad dining Large internal distances

Central Hall estimates use a Central Hall entrance; Fontainebleau and Resorts World use West Hall. Driving can be much longer than walking because of access roads, one-way streets and drop-off controls. Confirm the entrance printed in event materials before booking.

Courtyard Convention Center: shortest simple Central Hall stay

  • About 0.3 mile to Central Hall
  • Non-casino
  • Best for short work trips

Courtyard sits across from the Central Hall side of the campus and produces one of the shortest mapped walks in this comparison. The appeal is repetition: a six-minute morning walk can also make it reasonable to return to the room between sessions, change before dinner or retrieve materials without sacrificing an hour.

The hotel is intentionally simpler than a Strip megaresort. Guests trade casino restaurants, shows and a spectacular pool for a faster room-to-meeting routine. That is often a good exchange on a two- or three-night conference trip. Visitors entertaining clients or adding a vacation should decide whether they are comfortable riding to most off-hours plans.

Why it works

  • One of the shortest Central Hall routes.
  • No casino floor between the room and the street.
  • Useful for midday room access during a long convention day.

Important tradeoff: This is a work-first location. Most major Strip dining and entertainment still requires transit or rideshare.

Residence Inn Convention Center: best for long stays

  • About 0.3 mile to Central Hall
  • Suite kitchens
  • Best for teams and extended stays

Residence Inn pairs the same short Central Hall approach with features that become valuable after several nights: suites, kitchen facilities and a format designed around extended stays. Exhibitors working early setup and late teardown can reduce restaurant dependence, while a team can use the living area for informal preparation.

The location should still be evaluated by hall. A guest attending sessions primarily in West Hall may spend enough time crossing the campus that a west-side resort becomes more useful. The free LVCC Loop helps move between campus stations when operating for the event, but it does not eliminate the walk from the hotel or guarantee the shortest door-to-booth time.

Why it works

  • Kitchens and suite layouts support multi-night trips.
  • Short route to Central Hall.
  • Useful for coworkers or families accompanying an attendee.

Important tradeoff: The extended-stay advantages cannot fix a wrong-hall location. West Hall visitors should compare Fontainebleau and Resorts World.

Las Vegas Marriott: best full-service business hotel

  • About 0.3 mile to Central Hall
  • All-suite hotel
  • Best for business services without a casino

Las Vegas Marriott is a strong Central Hall option for travelers who want a conventional full-service hotel and a suite-style room without navigating a casino. The mapped entrance route is around 0.3 mile. A separate living area can function as a preparation zone or give two colleagues more room than a standard double-queen layout.

This is not the Marriott vacation club property near Planet Hollywood; confirm the address when booking. The hotel’s pool and leisure offering are modest compared with Strip resorts. It earns its place through a good work-trip balance: short walk, manageable building and enough hotel service to support meetings without the distractions and internal distances of a megaresort.

Why it works

  • Suite-style rooms can double as practical work space.
  • Short Central Hall walk without a casino.
  • Full-service format is more complete than many limited-service neighbors.

Important tradeoff: Visitors extending the trip for leisure may find the resort amenities too limited.

Fontainebleau: best premium West Hall choice

  • About 0.6 mile to West Hall
  • Full luxury resort
  • Best for entertaining and leisure extensions

Fontainebleau is the clearest premium answer for an event centered on West Hall. The mapped walk is roughly 0.6 mile, and the hotel supplies the restaurants, bars, spa, pool and polished rooms that the small convention hotels cannot. It works particularly well for executives, hosted groups and travelers adding leisure days.

The resort’s scale is the main caution. A short outdoor route does not guarantee a short room-to-booth journey when elevator banks and the casino floor are included. It can also be more resort than a solo attendee needs. Compare the complete rate with a Central Hall hotel plus transit, especially if the event agenda moves between halls.

Why it works

  • Strong West Hall position.
  • Excellent dining and entertainment for client-facing trips.
  • Makes it easy to add a luxury weekend without changing hotels.

Important tradeoff: Premium price and large internal distances. It is less compelling when every session is in Central or South Hall.

Westgate: best for Monorail flexibility

  • About 0.5 mile to Central Hall
  • Dedicated Monorail station
  • Best casino option for Central Hall

Westgate combines a walkable Central Hall route with a dedicated Las Vegas Monorail station. That pairing is useful for an attendee who wants to reach the convention on foot but still travel to the east side of the Strip without a car. The casino, sportsbook and restaurants also provide a more complete after-hours environment than the nearby business hotels.

The road network illustrates why hotel maps can mislead: our walking route is around half a mile, while a vehicle may travel more than two miles to reach a similar campus point. Westgate is a good choice when the walk and Monorail match the schedule. It is not automatically convenient to West Hall, and it sits east of the main boulevard resort corridor.

Why it works

  • Central Hall walk plus direct Monorail access.
  • Casino, sportsbook and entertainment under one roof.
  • Often a practical price comparison against newer resorts.

Important tradeoff: The driving route is awkward and West Hall is less direct. Do not evaluate it by straight-line campus distance.

How to read an LVCC map before booking

Ask the organizer for the hall, registration desk and primary session rooms. Then trace the route from the actual hotel entrance rather than the center of the LVCC map pin. The campus covers roughly 200 acres, so “across the street” from one hall may still create a long indoor trip to another.

The Vegas Loop connects five LVCC campus stations along a roughly two-mile system and rides within the campus are free. It can save time when the event uses several halls, but queues and event operations vary. The Monorail is separate: its Boingo Station at Las Vegas Convention Center is most useful for the Central Hall side and connects north-south along the east Strip corridor.

  • Save the booth and meeting-room numbers before leaving the hotel.
  • Wear walking shoes even when staying across the street.
  • Check whether breakfast is included before comparing rates.
  • For teams, compare suites and kitchens with the cost of daily meals and meeting space.

Frequently asked questions

What hotel is closest to the Las Vegas Convention Center?

There is no single answer for the entire campus. Courtyard, Residence Inn and Las Vegas Marriott are among the closest practical choices for Central Hall; Fontainebleau is much better positioned for West Hall.

Can you walk from the Strip to the Convention Center?

Yes from several north-Strip resorts, but the route and heat can be tiring. The Monorail may be more predictable from hotels with east-side stations.

Is the Vegas Loop free at the LVCC?

Rides between LVCC campus stations are currently free. External destination rides require the applicable ticket and availability.

Which hotel is best for a long convention stay?

Residence Inn is especially practical for Central Hall because the short walk, suite layout and kitchen reduce friction across several nights.
