Eagle Crest Golf Course, as befits its name, is an executive-style course perched on the side of a mountain near Las Vegas. Needless to say, while the views are wonderful, the course can be challenging.
Eagle Crest is located on the Western edge of Las Vegas in the Sun City Summerlin retirement community. One of its designers, Billy Casper, has said that you could take any of its holes and plunk it down onto any championship course, and it would fit just right. The executive-length course is a challenging par 60 and is 4,067 yards. Callaway rental clubs are available and a practice area with a driving range, chipping, and sand bunkers help you fine-tune your game before stepping on the first tee.

On my third day of golfing in Las Vegas, I decided to visit Eagle Crest Golf Club. It's a short executive course with a mix of par 3 and 4 holes, totaling 18. The par 4 fairways were well-maintained, and the greens were in pretty good shape. I grabbed a turkey club sandwich with fries for lunch from the Summit restaurant next to the pro shop, and it was delicious. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my visit. I joined a group of three locals, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Set within a 55+ senior community, the course offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We completed the 18 holes in about three hours. Although I'd love to give it 5 stars, the $95 fee for non-membership patrons seemed a bit steep.

Attended an event at the Star Theater, which is conveniently located at Eagle Crest Golf Club. What a wonderful and charming venue! It's truly a hidden gem for the 55+ community. This is the kind of place you'd want your loved ones to discover, though sometimes it takes a little convincing.

They allowed me to play solo, and I quickly learned that golfing is much more enjoyable with company, haha. The course itself is quite nice, and I got to use the driver on 7 holes. The only downside was having to avoid the sprinklers on about 4 holes, both on the tee and greens.

Recently attended an event at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Las Vegas in the Star Theater, which is located on the same property as the golf course. The venue was charming and felt like a hidden gem. It seemed like a perfect spot for a community of mature adults. I think my parents would really enjoy a place like this, but unfortunately, they are not convinced yet.

Highly recommend Eagle Crest Golf Club for a great short course to play. The course is enjoyable overall, but the greens could use some improvement as they tend to be slow. Overall, a solid option for a round of golf.

I had the opportunity to play a round at Eagle Crest Golf Club in Las Vegas recently. I appreciated the fact that I was able to go out and play solo, although I soon realized that golf is much more enjoyable with some company. The course itself is well-kept and I found that on 7 holes, I was able to use my driver. My only complaint would be that I had to dodge the sprinklers on approximately 4 holes, both on the tee and greens. Other than that, I had a good experience at Eagle Crest Golf Club.
