This hotel was fantastic! Visiting Vegas for the first time, I had a few reservations after seeing some negative reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised by our outstanding experience. The kiosk check-in was straightforward, offering excellent value for the room, which was both clean and luxurious. The bathroom was spotless as well! It was a blast strolling through the hotel and observing the lively street scene outside. Despite its central location, the room was quiet, ensuring a restful night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Vegas—10/10!

What I Disliked

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Golden Nugget in Las Vegas for a family wedding, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean with a decent size for the price. However, the layout can feel a bit maze-like depending on your room. Overall, I would recommend this casino to anyone looking to experience old Vegas or wanting a break from the Strip, while still being conveniently close.

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

I am deeply dissatisfied with the management at the reception desk of the Golden Nugget Hotel in Las Vegas. After a lengthy wait in line for check-in, we provided proof of our online payment and reservation for a double room, only to be told by the receptionist that the room was no longer available. A larger room was offered at an additional charge of approximately $50. Furthermore, we were required to make another payment and leave a deposit. Ultimately, I ended up paying both online and on-site, and since November, I have not received either a refund for the online payment or the deposit back. Despite numerous calls, the hotel has been unresponsive and unhelpful, which is completely unacceptable. The situation only worsened from there. Finding the elevator to reach our room was a challenge, as the receptionist did not provide clear directions after the payment. We spent 30 minutes searching for the room, with no staff available to assist, and returning to the reception was impossible due to another long queue. When we finally located the room, the key card failed to work. Fortunately, a phone on the floor allowed us to call for help, but it took 20 minutes for a technician to arrive and grant us access. Inside the room, several issues emerged. The bathroom light bulb was burnt out, the room was uncomfortably cold, and the heater was noisy, ineffective, and unadjustable. The room itself was poorly maintained, dusty, and lacked soundproofing, with outside noise being disturbingly audible, as if we were outdoors. Additionally, the TV did not function. This stay was incredibly disappointing, particularly after traveling such a long distance to be there. Despite the hotel's convenient location, the experience was a complete disaster, and I will never return. To this day, a refund for the deposit and the duplicate payment has not been issued.

The staff at Golden Nugget are exceptional and truly made our trip special. Special mentions go to graveyard valet Steve and hotel lobby bar Jen, though everyone we interacted with was impressive. The rooms are clean, affordable, and conveniently located. However, we did dock one star because rooms facing Fremont Street can be very noisy in the morning. Fortunately, the room provides disposable ear plugs—which are helpful if you plan to sleep in. Another downside is that the window blinds aren't blackout curtains; this is unusual for Vegas hotels and a bit disappointing. Overall, the Golden Nugget offers an amazing experience, making guests feel just as special as the luxurious newer hotels on the strip. We can't praise the staff enough and will definitely return soon!

I usually stay on the Strip, but this was my first time staying on Fremont Street. Had a pleasant stay overall. The pool was a bit crowded, but it wasn't too difficult to find a sun lounger after a short walk. The aquarium in the pool area was a cool feature. The casino never felt overly crowded. The rooms were spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. Great location!

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my current stay at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas in the Carson Tower, Room 864, from August 31, 2024, to September 2, 2024. The level of noise and vibrations in the room due to a nearby concert is causing a deeply unpleasant and distressing experience, far below the standards I expect from this establishment. Upon checking into the hotel at nearly 7:00 PM on August 31, 2024, I was not informed at check-in about the concert happening across the street and the significant noise and vibrations that would affect my room. Upon entering Room 864, it immediately became evident that the noise and vibrations from the concert were extremely disruptive, with booming music and vibrations causing the walls to shake. This is not only uncomfortable but entirely unacceptable for a hotel room intended for rest and relaxation. I promptly called the front desk to report the issue and was offered a $50 food and beverage credit and a waiver of the resort fee. I was also assured that the music would stop by 11:00 PM or, at the latest, by 12:00 AM. In an effort to avoid the unbearable noise, I left my room and did not return until 1:00 AM. However, to my dismay, the concert was still ongoing, and the noise and vibrations were just as intense as before. When I contacted guest services again, I was informed that the concert would continue until 2:00 AM and that no other rooms were available. I requested to file a formal complaint with management and asked for a return call, but I have yet to receive a response. Additionally, I found a place card in the room with an apology for the noise and a pair of earplugs. However, the earplugs are entirely ineffective in mitigating the vibrations that are causing the walls to shake. As a result of this experience, I am unable to rest properly during my stay, which is significantly impacting my overall experience. The actions taken by the hotel, including the minimal compensation offered, are inadequate given the severity of the disturbance. I believe that the hotel is failing to fulfill its obligation to provide a reasonable accommodation and to inform guests of the known noise issues at the time of check-in.
