The Casino at OYO Las Vegas

This casino is one of the few places where you can still find $1 blackjack tables! And if you're confused about the rules of craps, you can learn from the professionals here. Every morning at half-past ten, the casino offers free lessons from professional dealers, so you can play like a pro yourself. There are plenty of other table games, such as roulette and poker. You can also visit the William Hill Sports Book, part of the William Hill U.S. chain which offers all the action you can find on the larger sports betting venues, action like daily lines, parlays, teasers, futures, and props on major events. And, of course, there are slots aplenty, and their player's club offers a 10X bonus on slot play on Wednesdays.

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

I have stayed in many hotels, and I must say that my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Despite being advertised as a budget-friendly option, I found it to be overpriced, especially considering the resort fee and the lack of amenities due to closures. The hotel itself is in desperate need of an update, with a dingy and outdated appearance. The casino, which you have to walk through to exit the hotel, was consistently filled with unsavory incidents such as fights, intoxicated individuals, and police activity. The smell of cigarettes permeated the entire property, including the supposedly non-smoking rooms, making it difficult to stay inside without feeling nauseous. Upon entering my room, I was greeted by a bloodstain on the floor, along with dust, grime, and hairs on the bed. It was clear that the room had not been properly cleaned, and the overall condition was unacceptable. Additionally, there were safety concerns, such as guests being stuck in the elevator and blocked stairwells, which raised red flags for me. When I requested clean towels, the front desk promised to bring them to my room, but I had to wait over two hours before finally receiving them. To make matters worse, I was informed that using a fridge and microwave in the room would incur an additional fee, which was yet another unexpected cost on top of the resort fee. Overall, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Despite being in Vegas for a wedding and feeling limited in options, the poor quality of the accommodations was truly disappointing. I did not receive any satisfactory resolution from the hotel staff regarding the numerous issues I encountered during my stay. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this hotel at all costs. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

We chose this hotel for its affordability and convenient location in Las Vegas. Despite the attractive photos online, we were disappointed with our experience. Only one elevator was operational, prompting us to use the dirty and unpleasant stairwell to access our room with our luggage. The room had a strong odor of marijuana, despite being a non-smoking room, and the noisy AC made for an uncomfortable stay. The ice machine on our floor was out of order, and the lack of a security latch on the door left us feeling unsafe. In addition, the elevator buttons on our floor and the one below were not functioning, forcing us to use the stairs throughout our stay. After a brief 10-minute stay, we made the decision to cancel our reservation and find alternative accommodations. The staff was accommodating in allowing us to cancel both nights, and we were willing to pay more for a better experience elsewhere. Overall, we do not recommend this hotel.

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

Where do I even begin with this review of OYO in Las Vegas? Let's start with the shocking discovery of a hypodermic needle wrapped in toilet paper under the sink in our room. The front desk did not seem to take this seriously and only sent security after some time. Here are some other issues we encountered during our stay: 1. Dirty ceilings due to unclean air conditioner filters. 2. Black mold around the tub. 3. Flies coming out of the drain whenever water was turned on. 4. Vent in the bathroom connected to the next room, allowing us to see inside their bathroom. 5. Leaking toilet that was not fixed after multiple maintenance calls. 6. Dirty windows making it impossible to see outside. 7. Elevators broke down three times during our stay. 8. Tables in the room were left covered in food. 9. Floors appeared to have not been deep cleaned in years. When we requested to speak to the manager, we were refused and given a credit of only $90, which felt like an insult considering the high rates we were charged (especially during the Superbowl period). I have documented these issues with photos and would like to know who I should contact to address these issues.

A coupon in the Last Vegas Advisor brought us in and we actually had a good time. Good bar with sports playing.. not the fanciest place but the bartender was very attentive and eager to please. He was kicking out some delicious looking drinks with a smile. They do have poker machines at the bar, we were able to sit and play for a bit. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. Parking was fairly easy too.. not the first place I'm going to visit but if I find myself with another coupon or in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Aptly named On Your Own. It took 20 minutes to check in due to lack of staff. Dirty. Run Down. Nothing appears to have been vacuumed or scrubbed in a long time. Rooms are decent size and location is convenient. Good luck finding an elevator that works and if you’re on one of the lower floors then they will likely be full around checkout time.

We were very satisfied staying at this the location. It’s in the perfect spot as it’s an easy ,short walk to the strip. The rooms and parking were at a fantastic price point. We did not spend a lot of time in our room, but found it to be clean, comfortable and had a great view with an upgraded room on the 16th floor of the strip. The staff all over the property from the front desk to the restaurants were very friendly. We look forward to our next stay at this property.
