Such a nice stay at Rio in Las Vegas! Booked a standard 2 queen bed room and was pleasantly surprised by the nicely renovated space. The room had a couch and felt as spacious as a studio apartment. Loved the new appliances and fixtures. Way better than expected. No complaints at all and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommend!

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at Rio. The hotel is older, but it is pretty well maintained. They are doing renovations to the rooms and casino area, but it wasn't an issue as far as noise or anything like that. The rooms are quite large, very spacious and comfortable. The linens were clean and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of food options at the hotel and some cute little shops. The hotel is located off the strip, so it wasn't as busy as some of the hotels on the strip (which I didn't mind). Parking is free and there is a police officer/security guard patrolling the parking lot and garage at all times. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend to others.

This particular visit to Vegas was really quick. There for roughly 24 hours. Excited to find a reasonably priced last minute room at The Rio. The property was pristine. The remodel is really nice and right up my alley. Kind of modern art deco. We only interacted with staff when we checked in around midnight and when we had to show our key to access elevators. They front desk staff were lovely and a lot of fun. We did get to dine at Hash House but that’s another review (DELICIOUS, btw). When I return I’d definitely stay at Rio again. It’s not directly on the strip but very close. We had a beautiful view of the mountains and The Palms. It was quiet

I stopped by for a couple of days to see how the renovation was going. I was comped a renovated room on a Friday and Saturday. The room renovation was very good. The staff as always (I've been visiting The Rio since 1990) were great, and it was great to see familiar faces as always. Everyone was optimistic. There is lots of work being done. The food court is scheduled to open in January, and will have a very good selection. The Wine Cellar as well will reopen in January. That was always one of my favorite places to hang out at The Rio. The old manager of The Wine Cellar is also back. They are replacing all the machines on the casino floor. That part isn't quite finished, but there were zero problems finding machines to play when I wanted. Rio Rewards were as good as promised. I accumulated a lot of points in very short order. Many of the shops are gone, but I'm sure they will be replaced soon enough. I'm looking forward to seeing all the updates as time goes by.

The room was cleaner than I was led to believe from many mediocre reviews. The service other than maid service was pretty much non existent. I had to ask a casino pit-boss how to find the elevators to my room. The casino was busy but not so busy that I had to wait for a seat at a black jack table. The tables have $10 minimum during the day and $15 minimum at night. Lots of other casinos have $25 minimums. Many of the shops and restaurants in the resort were closed. All I wanted was a decent cheap room and a blackjack table to belly up to. If you want more there are better resorts but this one is reasonably priced and clean.

Worst Hotel Experience Ive ever dealt with. Booked in August. No mention of Hotels switching ownership when booking via telephone. Paid regular room rate for 5 rooms. No restaurants are open, the pool is closed, the majority of the machines are out of service to be removed, the convenience store is closed so you cant even buy a water or soda. They should have just closed down during renovations. This is straight up false advertisement. I feel like ive been robbed of my time and money. It took 3 attempts to check in to actually get a room. Rooms were still not ready 4 hours after check in time. My rooms were released and then re-booked so I have multiple duplicate charges on my credit card. Ive never been so disgusted with a hotel in my life and the Rio should be truly ashamed. Best case scenario is they refund my money for remaining nights so I can try to salvage the rest of the trip by staying elsewhere.
