Sahara Las Vegas Resort and Casino

From the boutique aura of the Alexandria tower, with its separate entrance and rooftop pool, to the Vegas-nostalgia of the Blanca tower, each tower at Sahara Las Vegas is an experience of its own. As befits a Vegas icon, the casino is a marvel, with almost 60,000 square feet of gaming, including hundreds of slots machines, both video and reel, and 40 exciting table games. While Sahara may not offer the largest selection of dining options, the destinations available are sure to make your mouth water. Bazaar Meats by Jose Andres offers great plates for the carnivore in all of us. Prendi is great for Italian cuisine, and at Chickie and Pete’s you can experience the best sports bar in North America while snacking on quality American fare. Bars and lounges abound for you to quench your thirst. And, lest we forget, the Sahara is home to the Magic Mike Live Show. Add to all this a fabulous spa, a fitness center, and some lovely pools, and it’s easy to see why everything is hot at the Sahara.

And is when it comes to slot machines you can't beat the choices available at the casino at the Sahara. You'll find all your old favorites and a wide selection of new reels including the most trendy slot machines on the market. As an added incentive, once you cash in your ticket after play you will be asked if you would like to donate your change to 1 of 4 selected local charities, so even if you come out behind the game you can feel good about yourself knowing you've done something for someone else. Table games? You can find all your favorites among the 50 tables scattered around the floor. Let the roulette wheel turn into some good luck for you. Play a little craps or try a hand of poker, the choices are almost limitless.

Sahara is located on the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, which sees less foot traffic due to slightly further distances between resorts when compared to south and center strip. That being said, the locations below can still be accessed extremely easily without the need for a car.

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

I had a pleasant stay at Sahara in Las Vegas. The hotel was quiet and I had a great sleep in a comfortable bed. The staff was friendly and efficient during check-in and check-out, which was a nice change from other hotels I've stayed at in Vegas. However, I found the bathroom layout to be awkward and not very private. The shower was roomy and I liked the layout that kept the bathroom floor dry. The carpet in the room felt a bit dirty to me. On the bright side, there was a small fridge in the room which was convenient, although I missed having a coffee maker. The location was convenient for walking to the strip and there was a decent restaurant in the casino for breakfast at a reasonable price. Overall, I would consider staying here again.

Loved the atmosphere and food options nearby. The noodles at the noodle den are to die for and worth it if you can stop by. Zeffer's Cafe is great for breakfast and good if you have children with you, amazing staff. Check-in was kind of a nightmare. We booked two rooms and one room was not ready till at least three hours after check-in. Even though my worst experience at this great place was during check-in, the staff was helpful and compensated us with a few free drinks, which was nice. A great place to stay for my first experience at the Sahara

We had an amazing experience here. We went with the whole family, I loved it how updated the rooms were. It’s was affordable compared to other places for New Year. Anything kid friendly is a bonus. The sheets were clean, in fact the whole room was clean. Snacks and dinner options were good, Prendi was my favorite. The cookies and the Cuban sandwich were fire! Overall I had an amazing stay.

I was a bit nervous booking so far from the heart of the strip, but the monorail made it so easy to get around. Having immediate access to the bus terminal made getting to Old Vegas incredibly easy too. The casino is a bit smaller than other locations here, but it was perfect and not totally slammed with people! The taco joint here had the best tacos I've ever had in my entire life, comparable to real tacos in Mexico !! Thank you for such an amazing trip for New Year's. I will definitely be coming back 😁

EDIT TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: 4 days after checkout & I still haven’t gotten my deposit back. There was no damage or reason to keep it. I was also double charged & was assured while I was still checked in that it would be returned upon checkout. I’ve called 6 times & have been hung up on. The latest hang up let me know I was charged a late fee for showing up the next day. I was scheduled to arrive at 11pm but my flight from Chicago was delayed. I had no way to contact the hotel while on the plane. I arrived shortly after 1am. For the price I was charged I could have stayed at the Venetian as I usually do. Better location & amenities there! Take your money elsewhere. Last time I try somewhere new. The room was nice but not worth the headache & unexpected expenses. First time stay here & it met all my needs & expectations. Beautiful hotel

Right next to a mono rail stop at the northern end. Room wasn't serviced on first night. Not that it really needed it. Very comfortable and quiet. Bit of a walk to the main end of the strip so monorail is the best mode of transport. Plenty of services in the hotel. We loved it.
