Just stayed at the Trop and it was a great experience. I've been staying here for 20 years so it was a bit nostalgic for me. Despite some negative reviews, I found the check-in service to be efficient, the dealers to be friendly, and the room to be very clean. In terms of price and location, it was the best option for me. Yes, the parking garage is a bit of a walk, but that's the case with every resort in Vegas. Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the Trop.

What I Disliked

It's disappointing that Tropicana in Las Vegas is closing soon to make way for a new baseball stadium. I've had some great times in this old casino. While it may not be in its prime anymore, it still has a unique charm that sets it apart from the newer, more sterile casinos.

What I Disliked

We recently visited the Tropicana in Las Vegas and were impressed by the convenience of parking and walking directly into the casino without the hassle of elevator rides or complicated garages. The casino has a legendary reputation and although things have changed over the years, it's best to just enjoy the experience. One can only imagine the extravagant parties that took place at the Tropicana in its prime.

My partner and I booked a suite with a jacuzzi and sauna at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. We had a wonderful time during our stay. The staff was attentive and friendly. The dealers at the casino, especially Tim, were very welcoming. The cocktail waitresses, Adella and Lilly, were also very nice. Jesse, one of the floor managers, provided us with great restaurant recommendations. Unfortunately, there was a health scare on our last night, but the security team was quick to respond and very helpful. It's disappointing to hear that the casino, with its rich history, will be torn down. We have enjoyed our visits to the Tropicana over the years. Thank you for a memorable stay!

What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

This hotel was a joke. Let’s start with the outside. It was completely dilapidated, with paint peeling, the window shutters falling off, tiny windows, making the rooms, dark and drab. Zoom in on my photo. Those windows are not open, it is the outside covers falling off. The rooms were outdated and smelled musty from years of cigarette, smoke liquor and possibly poor cleaning. The mattresses were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The shower barely trickled out. The obsolete wooden slats over the windows made the room devoid of light. They were thick and heavy, and would stick when we tried to open them. The staff were rushed. When we asked questions about places to eat or Hilton Honors, since this is a Hilton affiliate hotel, they had no clue what we were talking about. Most spoke little English. One staff member said they would bring up, a blanket and some water bottles so we didn’t have to come down and get them, nobody ever came. Many of the restaurants inside the hotel were closed, or had strange hours. The pool was closed the entire time we were there, which we were never told. Be prepared for a long walk from the front desk to reach the elevators for your room. At least the elevators were fast. The hotel is located at the very far end of the strip. It has no shuttle from the airport and the monorail doesn’t come to Tropicana. This hotel may have been amazing back in the 50s and 60s, but now it is a thing of the past. Luckily, it is up for demolition next year. We found out that the price we paid for this room was equal to the room price of quite a few other hotels.

My husband and I booked a suite with a jacuzzi and sauna during the week of Christmas. We had an absolutely amazing time. The staff was very attentive. The dealers were very friendly, especially Tim. The cocktail waitresses were very nice, especially Adella and Lilly. Jesse, one of the floor managers, gave great restaurant recommendations. My husband had a health scare on our last night, and security was on the ball and helpful. It's a shame the casino, with all its history, will be getting torn down. We've enjoyed coming here over the years. Thank you!
