JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Casino

JW Marriott has everything that you've come to expect from Las Vegas resorts, but with a more suburban vibe. It sits close to the action but feels worlds away. Instead of being surrounded by neon and noise, here you will be close to open country and nature. It is within easy striking distance of golf courses, hiking trails, mountain biking, and bowling for adventures the entire family can share. Dining options abound at the resort, from quick-serve cafes, to upscale dining at the Hawthorne Grill and Asian selections at Jade Asian Kitchen. Enjoy a coffee at Starbucks or a tea at Earl Grey Cafe and, of course, visit the Market Place Buffet for a vast array of delicious items. Take a hike at nearby Red Rocks and finish the day with a post-hike massage at Spa Aquae. JW Marriott offers everything you expect to find in Vegas, simply a bit more refined.

My recent visit to the Rampart buffet at JW Marriott in Las Vegas was my first time dining there since the pandemic started. The space has been renovated and is quite spacious, but the layout with various stations at awkward angles is not ideal. The food at the buffet was decent, although I was disappointed to find no fresh fish or sushi options, only a fish patty with a lot of stuffing. The dessert selection mainly consisted of numerous tiny cakes spread out throughout the buffet. On a positive note, there were tasty options like cream pie, ice cream, flavorful chicken, and an abundance of rice and starches available. Overall, it seems that Las Vegas buffets have changed from what they used to be.

After spending three nights on the strip, the JW Marriott in Las Vegas was the perfect place to stay for the last two nights of our trip. The room was super quiet and very clean, and the water flowing throughout was very relaxing. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was delicious. Overall, a great stay at this hotel.

What I Disliked

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott in Las Vegas for a work trip and found it to be a suitable place to stay. While the hotel may appear a bit older and could benefit from some updates, my room was comfortable and impeccably clean. One minor issue was the noisy ceiling fan and the flashing light on the smoke detector, but these were not major inconveniences. The hotel boasts two gyms, and I found the one in the spa to be spacious and well-equipped. Unfortunately, I did not have time to enjoy the pool and hot tub facilities, but they looked inviting. The room service was satisfactory, and the highlight of my stay was the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The valets in particular were a bright spot during my busy work days. Although I did not explore the casino, it appeared to be quite large for those interested in that amenity.

Solid spot overall. It's a drive from the strip of that's your thing but it's got a few upscale restaurants, a 24 hr diner, a decent buffet and a quick eats deli on the premises. Great access to golf courses as well. If you're looking for a casino experience I'd go elsewhere, payouts here seem to be few and far between but the sports book is quite nice. It's insane how early the pool closes though, like 5 pm, not great for families.

Love, love and love this Resort! One of my favorite places in Las Vegas. Nice casino, spacious rooms. The pool and the spa was my highlight. Excellent restaurants located right at the resort as well. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. I was just there last week and I'm already looking at my calendar to go back. See you soon again !!

Stayed here for 5 nights in December. Location is great and staff was friendly. As a Platinum Elite, I did get upgraded to a larger room which was very kind and made for a comfortable stay since I was working during the day and room had a separate table which I used for working. The bed was very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Shower pressure was good. This hotel is connected to the Rampart Casino. As part of the daily resort fee, you get $10 free slot play per night of stay which was a fun treat. As a Platinum Elite, you can also opt in for the free breakfast over points which I highly recommend. The breakfast is located at The Earl Grey Cafe which is a diner in the Rampart Casino. You get a beverage, entree and side item from a special menu. Lots of choices and everything I tried was good, notably the BLTA...at the very least you should make sure you get the bacon! :)
