South Point Las Vegas Resort and Casino

South Point has a full-service salon and barbershop, a pool, hot tub, and a well-equipped fitness center. You can work off some weight or just some tension and then relax with a massage. The hotel charges a resort fee, as do nearly all others, and this includes access to the fitness center and a free airport shuttle, among other niceties. There are plenty of dining opportunities as well. Michael’s Gourmet Room has been a bastion of fine dining in Las Vegas for over twenty years, while the Silverado Steakhouse is the go-to place for a traditional steak dinner. For heartier appetites, visit the Primarily Prime Rib Restaurant on the mezzanine. Coronado Cafe is available around the clock, with hearty American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while its very own Chinese kitchen dishes up traditional Chinese fare for lunch, dinner, and late night. There is also a Steak n’ Shake, as well as multiple bars for your enjoyment.

The casino features plenty of slots, table games, a racebook, sportsbook, and a bingo room. Gambling not your thing? No problem, South Point Las Vegas also offers a 64 lane professional bowling alley, a 16 screen movie theater, an equestrian center, and much more.

What I Disliked

This was my first time staying at South Point and I had a fantastic time. The resort is huge and has everything you need right there. There are 11 restaurants, a bowling alley, a theater, an equestrian center where I even got to see some bull riding, a hair salon (shoutout to Julia for my amazing haircut and style), a salon, and plenty of games. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was exceptionally clean. I will definitely be back to stay again in the future.

South Point in Las Vegas is a stunning property with a variety of dining choices, though it's recommended to make reservations in advance. While it's a short drive to the strip, there isn't a shuttle service available. Additionally, there isn't an early shuttle to the airport for flights departing before 7am. The rooms are generously sized and the beds are comfortable. Overall, South Point is a great choice for those seeking a resort-style stay.

What I Disliked

I did not stay at the hotel so I cannot provide a review of the room, but overall the property was clean. I visited South Point specifically to try the Buffet, which I found to be worth the $30 price. The selection was good, despite some misleading reviews regarding the sushi - there were only three different rolls available. The prime rib lived up to its reputation and the desserts were decent. While it may not compare to the Buffet at the Wynn, it also doesn't come with the $75 price tag. If you're looking for value and selection, this buffet is a good option.

Our experience at South Point for the State Archery Tournament was fantastic. The venue is massive, with over 800 archers participating in the event. Despite not staying at the casino, we found the staff to be incredibly helpful and the food prices to be surprisingly affordable. My son's team from Del Webb Middle School even managed to place Second in the tournament. If you have the opportunity to attend this event, I highly recommend it. Plus, it's free for the public to attend.

I recently visited this spa and had a truly rejuvenating experience. The serene atmosphere, coupled with skilled therapists, made it a perfect escape. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and attentive. The massage was tailored to my preferences, easing away tension and leaving me feeling utterly relaxed. The facilities were immaculate, adding to the overall sense of tranquility. I highly recommend this spa for anyone seeking a blissful retreat and professional care.

We stay here every time we come to Vegas. It's close to the strip but far enough away to be nice and quiet. There's a casino across the street with great restaurants. The only issue we ever have is the key card not opening the front door and when it's chilly all you want to do is get in the building. They have a shuttle to Walmart, in the morning if you need groceries for your full size kitchen. Definitely recommend if traveling with family or large group.
