I can't comment on the rooms since my visit was focused on the casino, dining, and theater, but I would definitely consider staying at South Point on a future trip to Vegas. The theater experience was fantastic, the bowling alley adds a fun touch, and the casino’s layout is exceptionally well-designed. Plus, the garden buffet was an amazing dining experience! I'll certainly keep South Point in mind for next time!

During a recent company trip, I had the opportunity to stay at South Point Plaza Casino in Las Vegas, and it was truly impressive! Although I didn't cover the cost of the room personally, I checked the rates and found them very reasonable for the quality provided. The rooms were impeccably clean, tidy, and well-maintained, ensuring a very comfortable stay. South Point stands out for its wide range of entertainment and amenities. With a bowling alley, arcade, movie theater, and five dining options, including a buffet, there's something for everyone. Plus, the casino offers plenty of gaming options in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The environment was clean, friendly, and inviting, with a highly professional and courteous staff. A notable perk was the free valet parking, which added great convenience. The valet team, in particular, was exceptionally friendly, efficient, and delivered top-notch customer service, easily making it a 10/10 experience. Another advantage is the location. Being off the main strip offers a more relaxed and less hectic vibe, yet it's only about 10 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, making it an ideal choice for those who want proximity to the excitement without the chaos. Overall, I highly recommend South Point Plaza Casino to anyone visiting Vegas for business or leisure. It offers great value, fantastic amenities, and excellent service all around!

The stay was pleasant with a great price. The service was excellent, and the room was spacious and comfortable. However, a microwave for leftovers was missed. The midnight to 6am steak and eggs, along with other dishes, were a highlight. I would suggest skipping the shrimp cocktail as it was made from baby shrimp with an unpleasant odor. Conveniently, there is a Starbucks in the casino near the hotel check-in. The experience would be more enjoyable if there was no smoking and if the hotel elevators were connected to the parking garage, as the walk to the room was quite long. Overall, it was fun but since I’m not a gambler, I'll consider trying a different place next time I’m in town for business. The location, about 8 minutes south of the airport, was very convenient. There isn't much nearby within walking distance, except for a gas station and a Subway. However, it looks like they're planning to build something new next to the hotel, which might improve walkability in the future.

I did not stay at the hotel so I cannot provide a review of the room, but overall the property was clean. I visited South Point specifically to try the Buffet, which I found to be worth the $30 price. The selection was good, despite some misleading reviews regarding the sushi - there were only three different rolls available. The prime rib lived up to its reputation and the desserts were decent. While it may not compare to the Buffet at the Wynn, it also doesn't come with the $75 price tag. If you're looking for value and selection, this buffet is a good option.

We stay here every time we come to Vegas. It's close to the strip but far enough away to be nice and quiet. There's a casino across the street with great restaurants. The only issue we ever have is the key card not opening the front door and when it's chilly all you want to do is get in the building. They have a shuttle to Walmart, in the morning if you need groceries for your full size kitchen. Definitely recommend if traveling with family or large group.

I headed to South Point in Las Vegas for their late-night cheap steaks after midnight, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. The place is very brightly lit, making it more of a lively spot than a romantic one. It’s a great place for a midnight steak. The slot machines were buzzing with activity even late into the night, and the atmosphere was vibrant with plenty of people around due to a bowling convention. Their outfits added a fun and unique element to the experience.

I ended up staying at South Point in Las Vegas due to a layover error by Southwest Airlines that turned into an overnight stay. The hotel itself is stunning with great customer service at the front desk. The restaurants onsite served delicious food and room service was prompt and accommodating. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. My only issue was that the blackout curtains in the room didn't close all the way, leaving a small gap that let in some morning light. Overall, it was a fantastic casino hotel and I would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity. The spa was on my list to try next time!

I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous dining options available, including a buffet and late night specials at select restaurants. The sheer amount of slot machines was impressive and I had some good luck with my gameplay. After a few hours of fun and winning, I left with a smile on my face and a desire to return. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend a visit to South Point Hotel Casino for a great gaming experience.

South Point in Las Vegas is fantastic. The rates are very affordable, the rooms are spacious and spotless, and there is a wide array of activities available if you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Strip. With 11 restaurants to choose from, you'll never go hungry. My partner really enjoys the poker room there. The only downside is that the pool could be warmer. After multiple visits, there's no need for me to stay anywhere else in Vegas.

This was my first time staying at South Point and I had a fantastic time. The resort is huge and has everything you need right there. There are 11 restaurants, a bowling alley, a theater, an equestrian center where I even got to see some bull riding, a hair salon (shoutout to Julia for my amazing haircut and style), a salon, and plenty of games. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was exceptionally clean. I will definitely be back to stay again in the future.

While it's a short drive to the strip, there isn't a shuttle service available. Additionally, there isn't an early shuttle to the airport for flights departing before 7am. The rooms are generously sized and the beds are comfortable. Overall, South Point is a great choice for those seeking a resort-style stay.

Our experience at South Point for the State Archery Tournament was fantastic. The venue is massive, with over 800 archers participating in the event. Despite not staying at the casino, we found the staff to be incredibly helpful and the food prices to be surprisingly affordable. My son's team from Del Webb Middle School even managed to place Second in the tournament. If you have the opportunity to attend this event, I highly recommend it. Plus, it's free for the public to attend.

Just stayed here for a youth bowling tournament. I like that this hotel is off the strip and has everything we need for a family of five. The bowling arena is awesome. We didn't get a chance to do much else, but we are at the Mexican grill and the Steakburger & Shake place. Both were really good! The rooms are average. Pet peeve of mine is that the shower heads are not adjustable and spray to fast for my liking. Pillows are flat and mattresses are average. For the price, we'd stay here again. This is our second year in a row and will keep coming back.

Came for a business meeting. The service was very good. Appreciated the valet parking and the bellhop at the front door. The room was very comfortable. Meeting rooms were convenient. The food was excellent. Loved the convenience of Starbucks in the lobby. Appreciated the variety of services. I still don't like the cigarette and cigar smoke, but I just stay away from the gambling areas.

My husband and I have been going here for years! We love this casino! What we like the most are the restaurants, especially Primarily Prime, the movie theater and the horse shows in the Equestrian Center. Great place and not as busy as some of the casinos on the strip. I highly recommend you check this place out. I can't comment on their hotel rooms as we never stay here. We always stay at the Grandview right across the street.

As much as I wanted to give this place 5-stars from the hype, I can't. Cons/Issues: I just arrived home today from a 3-night stay, and several elevators weren't working. As of today, there was 1 of 6 working on the tower that takes you up to the 19th floor. That is unacceptable band caused a 20-minute wait for an elevator. My second night there, I had water coming from the light fixture above my shower (pouring down). I don't know if someone flooded their tub above me or what, but the maintenance guy made it sound like no big deal - that it was some issue from someone showering above me. My toilet and sink were also constantly making some gurgling noises, which was kind of weird. Pros: The staff was very friendly and accommodating whenever I called to the front desk. I enjoyed staying at a quieter, more old-style of Vegas type of hotel. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the new strip for once. This is an older crowd, more laid back, and that was really nice. The food was pretty good here. Also, the cleanliness here seems pretty dang good compared to some other hotels I've stayed at. All in all, you have some repairs to do that are not a good first impression. I was disappointed. Hopefully you will get them fixed so this isn't so problematic for future guests.

South Point staff were very friendly from the second we arrived. Everyone from valet parking to front desk, game dealers, security, wait staff, room service, all were awesome. The room was clean to a T. Nothing out of place and spots that I typically look for (shower heads, corners of the room etc) were all spotless. Several restaurants in the hotel give a good variety of food to choose from. Although the best water comes from the Starbucks at the front. We will be staying here in the future.

We stayed for four days following the labour day weekend. There is ample free parking and it is well connected to get around whether that's to the strip or out to some of the national parks. The rooms are large and well appointed if a little dimly lit. The beds were super comfortable and there was a good sized fridge in the room. The cleanliness could be improved as there was a lot of dust in the room but nothing terrible. The pool is nice though has no umbrellas so you need to bag the chairs that happen to be in the shade. There are lots of restaurants of different £-£££ depending on what you're looking for. All in all we had a really nice stay there and would stay again.

The poker room offers both cash and tournament games, and tournaments are inexpensive - usually only $60 - with a substantial turnout, commonly reaching over 100 players. The venue is also notably pleasant, and other activities such as movies, bowling, and shopping are available. For those interested in animals, there are several shows featuring equestrians. However, the main downside is that it is far removed from the popular strip. Ultimately, though, that may be a boon to some!

In my opinion, South Point is the best place to stay off the strip in Vegas. You have all kinds of entertainment options and you're only a few minutes from the action of the strip. The rooms are comfortable, the casino is clean, and the machines are looser than strip casinos.

The grand casino provided a large variety of food options (11) and chances at gambling. On top of that, the hotel also featured its own theatre and bowling alley - truly a one-stop destination! I am looking forward to coming back here to take advantage of the spa services.
