About The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower

The STRAT stands at 2000 South Las Vegas Boulevard between the traditional Strip and the Arts District. The tower is a major landmark, but the hotel is isolated from the central Strip's dense resort cluster; the Deuce bus, rideshare, or a car is usually preferable to a long walk south. The Arts District and downtown are closer than from most Strip resorts.

The hotel has more than 2,400 rooms, including refreshed Elevate categories and suites. Renovation level, tower, view, and walking distance vary, so selecting a clearly remodeled room is worthwhile. The property is generally value-oriented rather than luxurious, and lower rates should be compared after resort and parking charges.

Two seasonal pool experiences serve different moods. Swim & Social on the eighth floor is open to families with cabanas, daybeds, food, games, and weekend DJs, while rooftop WET24 is restricted to adults and emphasizes skyline views. Hotel guests receive admission under current rules, but hours vary by day and season.

The approximately 80,000-square-foot casino offers slots, table games, a sportsbook, and lounges. The SkyPod is the signature attraction: observation decks, SkyJump, thrill rides, 108 Drinks, and the rotating Top of the World restaurant occupy levels near the top of the 1,149-foot tower. Attraction tickets are separate from the room rate.

The STRAT is best for view seekers, thrill-ride fans, budget travelers, and visitors exploring the Arts District or downtown as well as the Strip. It is less suited to luxury guests or travelers determined to walk everywhere. There is currently no full spa, and the surrounding blocks require more planning after dark than the center Strip.

Regrettably, I found the "newly renovated" rooms at The Strat in Las Vegas fell short of my expectations. Surprisingly, there was no microwave oven in the rooms, which was quite unexpected. Additionally, the comfort level of the beds, blankets, and pillows left much to be desired, making a restful night's sleep elusive. This visit to Las Vegas was intended to be a special celebration, and I must caution against booking the Elite or Elevated rooms, as they did not deliver the value I was hoping for.

The interior of The Strat in Las Vegas was quite impressive. However, the atmosphere was somewhat marred by the noise from other guests. Despite using the provided door tag indicating it was time to relax, I often heard loud door slams and conversations in the hallways, even late at night around 11 pm or later. Additionally, there was an issue with housekeeping, as they entered the room unannounced while I was out, despite it being only the first day of a planned two-night stay. While connected rooms were arranged for convenience with family, only some beds were made, and the rooms were not cleaned beyond restocking bathroom products. This intrusion happened without prior request or permission. Furthermore, parking required a separate fee, and the app used for this process was unreliable.

I truly enjoyed my stay at The Strat in Las Vegas. The renovated rooms are stunning and beautifully done. The staff throughout the hotel is remarkable, addressing any questions or issues promptly and efficiently. The only area for improvement would be the dining options; with only three restaurants and a Starbucks, the selection felt limited given the size of the hotel. Hopefully, there will be more choices next time. Overall, the experience was fantastic.
