About The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian anchors the north-central Strip across from Mirage's former site and beside The Palazzo, Venetian Expo, and Sphere corridor. Wynn, Fashion Show, Harrah's, and the LINQ area are nearby. The integrated resort is enormous, so a suite's tower and elevator bank can significantly affect walks to conventions, restaurants, pools, and rideshare.

Accommodations are suites with distinct living and sleeping areas and Italian-marble bathrooms; layouts vary by category. Standard suites generally range from about 650 to 750 square feet—nearly double many Strip rooms—with king or two-queen configurations and sleeper sofas. The ornate Venetian tower emphasizes classic Italian grandeur, while attached Palazzo uses a more contemporary style.

The Venetian's renovated two-acre pool deck has four heated pools, cabanas, daybeds, food and drink service, and selected cabanas with plunge pools. Guests can also access Palazzo's pool deck and the quieter South Tower Pool Garden, producing one of the Strip's broadest pool collections. Reserved seating is expensive but not necessary for basic guest access.

Two connected casinos, a poker room, and the Yahoo Sportsbook provide extensive gaming. More than 40 restaurants across Venetian and Palazzo include Bouchon, CUT, COTE, Mott 32, Wakuda, Yardbird, and many casual options. Twenty-four-hour in-suite dining is unusually comprehensive.

Grand Canal Shoppes, indoor and outdoor gondola rides, Canyon Ranch spa and fitness, TAO nightlife, Voltaire, theaters, and convention facilities make this a destination resort. Sphere access is especially convenient compared with the south Strip, although crowds and indoor distances can be overwhelming.

The Venetian is best for luxury travelers, food lovers, convention guests, couples, and families who value a very large standard room. It is not ideal for budget travelers or anyone seeking an intimate boutique property. Resort fees, parking, premium pools, dining, and minibar restrictions can push the total well beyond the room rate.

A suite here provides extra living space, but it is not a self-catering apartment. The resort says coffee makers and microwaves are not standard, and personal refrigerator availability varies by suite. Minibar storage has its own conditions, so ask about the designated personal-use space before placing groceries inside. These details matter for families and longer stays.

Prestige Club Lounge access is a separate upgrade, with its own breakfast, lounge and concierge benefits. Compare a Prestige rate with a standard suite using the number and ages of guests covered, rather than assuming the same benefits apply to everyone in the room. If sleeping privacy matters, review the floor plan: a distinct living area is not automatically a bedroom behind a closing door.

Best For

  • Travelers who want a base in the Las Vegas Strip resort corridor
  • Couples and special-occasion trips seeking an upscale hotel experience
  • Guests who expect to schedule meaningful pool or spa time at the hotel
  • Guests who enjoy the energy and convenience of a casino hotel

Consider The Tradeoffs

  • A Strip address can still involve long walks through large resorts, bridges, and indoor corridors
  • Resort fees, parking charges, deposits, and amenity schedules can change; compare the final checkout total for the exact dates
  • Lower rates may come with simpler rooms, fewer on-site amenities, or a less convenient tourist location
  • Casino activity, smoking areas, nightlife, and busy public spaces may not suit travelers seeking a quiet retreat

This was my first time staying at The Venetian, and the location couldn't be better! The check-in process was quick, and I was impressed by the spacious and luxurious room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. Although the presence of smoke was noticeable, which is common due to the smoking policy in Las Vegas hotels, it didn't affect my overall impression. There are numerous dining and bar options, along with plenty of entertainment choices. I had a fantastic time! At check-out, I needed a receipt and had to wait a bit, although the self-checkout option was speedy with no line. Overall, a wonderful hotel experience that I highly recommend, and I would definitely stay here again.

We had a phenomenal stay! We're not huge Vegas fans and the Venetian staff made our visit extremely pleasant. Our room was fantastic! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was large and accommodating (could have used more lighting and a nightlight) and good view. We did have a minor electrical problem in the middle of the night and the way that the staff handled it was professional, prompt, and helpful. We would definitely make this the place we'd stay again if coming through Vegas and we've never stayed in a place twice in Vegas before.

What To Do Near The Venetian Las Vegas

Use the resort map to distinguish The Venetian’s tower entrances, Grand Canal Shoppes, Venetian Expo and the route toward Sphere. They belong to a large connected complex rather than one compact lobby. For a concert or convention, identify the actual entrance on the ticket or meeting instructions and allow time for the internal walk.
