Decided to celebrate a special occasion with some Japanese cuisine. After browsing photos of dishes on Yelp and Google, we settled on trying Kumi Japanese Restaurant. Upon arrival, we were informed by the waitress that the menu options were limited due to a missed delivery from the food truck, which meant no shrimp was available. The salmon was well-prepared and the cocktail was delightful, but it was disappointing not to have shrimp included in the sushi offerings. The total cost was $240 for four cocktails, sushi, fried rice, and dessert. Given the limited menu, I expected more variety. Unfortunately, I don't plan on returning in the future.
KJ Dim Sum & Seafood Chinese Restaurant in Las Vegas offers a traditional dim sum experience where food is presented from trolleys. The authentic atmosphere was highly enjoyable. For a group of five, the total came to just $150, including service, making it a fantastic value for money!
The food court here is definitely on the pricey side. It should offer more budget-friendly options for families. It seems like Las Vegas has become more focused on profit. I miss when it was all about having fun without extra charges for everything. 😪
We didn't stay overnight this time, though I have previously. This visit was just for dinner and to catch the F1 race. The casino is well-maintained, although there's a bit of a smoky scent. The staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and professional. Russell, the bartender at the sports bar, was truly outstanding. There's plenty of great parking with security, and it was refreshing not to be hassled for having a camper van. It's a nice alternative to the usual Las Vegas scene. I’ll definitely be returning.
SUSHISAMBA in Las Vegas offers a menu with somewhat limited variety. While the food is undeniably tasty and fresh, one might anticipate a bit more for the price. It's worth noting that everything is fried in the same oil, including the french fries, alongside meat, fish, pork, or chicken, which is common in many establishments. On a brighter note, the desserts were exceptionally fresh and delicious, and the sushi was a standout—tender and full of flavor.
Absolutely make a reservation if you plan to visit Su Casa in Las Vegas. Without one, we ended up at the "tall table" near the bar, which was still a comfortable spot. Being located inside the casino, the restaurant does have a hint of smoky aromas, but it's fairly mild. The food is tasty and satisfying, and the service is truly exceptional. If you're visiting Silverton Casino for the first time, consider signing up for the casino card to get a 50% discount on your meal here. Just keep in mind that the discount is capped at $25 and must be used within two days.
We were on the hunt for some late-night dining and found Ondori Asian Kitchen, conveniently open until midnight. We checked on the latest time to place an order and were told 11:45 p.m., which seemed quite accommodating. Although I didn’t notice the sign indicating no Japanese take-out orders after 5 p.m., it wasn't brought up when I began my order. We chose the salmon with jalapeño appetizer, chirashi, and shrimp/veggie tempura, with a total bill of about $78. While the prices are on the higher side, especially with the 6-piece appetizer close to $20, the overall quality of the food was satisfying. The chirashi was well-presented with a good variety of fish, although the octopus was unfortunately too chewy to enjoy. The tempura maintained its crispiness even after being packed, featuring three pieces of shrimp, along with sweet potato, broccoli, and asparagus. This restaurant is a solid choice for Asian cuisine within the hotel, though not necessarily worth going out of your way for. I'd consider dining here again if staying at the hotel.
Fantastic experience at Canyon Ranch Grill in Las Vegas. Despite a brief 10-minute wait for our breakfast table around 8:30 a.m. on a weekday, the excellent food and service made it worthwhile. The coffee, with its delightful Italian style, complemented the beautifully presented dishes. Customizations were seamlessly accommodated, and the QR code on the menu for allergens was a brilliant addition! 🐟🥯🥚🍳🥑🍓
I'm basing this review on my experiences with other Hooters locations. The service here was as expected, and even surpassed my expectations, thanks to our server, Chevy. She was efficient, quickly taking our order and moving on, which is exactly how Hooters should operate. It can be frustrating when servers are pressured by management to linger and engage in unnecessary banter with customers. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite measure up to other Hooters locations. I tried the Buffalo Platter, but the shrimp was less than stellar, failing to achieve the desired crispiness. The boneless wings seemed like they had been sitting out for a while and weren't served hot. The traditional wings on the platter seemed past their prime, but Chevy promptly addressed the issue, which is really what counts. The old-tasting grease and seemingly low cooking temperature made it difficult to achieve a satisfying crisp. Adding to the experience, I left the restaurant with a lingering kitchen grease aroma, something I hadn't encountered at other Hooters. It might be a ventilation issue, but not a major concern—considering we're in Vegas. In summary, while I would return for favorites like the spicy garlic or chipotle honey, this location falls short compared to other branches I've experienced.
