If you're seeking late-night dining options, this spot at Aliante shouldn't be missed. From 9pm until closing, they offer a $5 happy hour menu featuring cocktails and a variety of small dishes. We sampled almost the entire happy hour menu and were impressed by both the flavor and presentation of the items. Everything arrived hot and looked appealing. While the overall taste was average, the chicken sliders and meatballs stood out with exceptional flavor. Our server was attentive and friendly, frequently checking in to ensure we had a great experience.
Pour 24, nestled within the New York hotel, boasts exceptional customer service and a relaxed atmosphere. Although my initial drink wasn't to my liking, the bartender graciously crafted new ones for me.
The hostesses at the entrance were pleasant and welcoming, setting a nice tone for the evening. Initially, our server seemed attentive, but his level of service diminished after we placed our order. Our order included a variety of dishes like soup dumplings, pork buns, General Tso's, and noodles. Before our visit, I had informed the restaurant about my food allergies. When the sweet pork buns were brought to the table, the server asked if I was sure about not being allergic, as they contained oyster sauce. While I appreciated the caution, it would have been more helpful to discuss potential allergens before serving the dish. Additionally, given that our reservation mentioned our anniversary, it was surprising that no dessert recommendation was offered for the occasion. As for the food, it fell short of expectations, with the flavors, portion sizes, and prices not living up to the standard. I've experienced better soup dumplings elsewhere. On a more positive note, the atmosphere was stunning — a truly beautiful setting.
Last night marked the first of what will be many visits! Exceptional service stood out, with our server ensuring the menu was thoroughly explained. We were thrilled when Chef Barry made his rounds, stopping by for a photo with us. Dinner was a treat: my companion chose the 14oz Ribeye, while I went for the Surf & Turf. As an executive chef, my companion was particularly impressed, declaring his steak to be the finest he's tasted in years. We began with a Caesar salad and French Onion soup, and our server thoughtfully had the kitchen split them for us without us having to ask. Everything from the ambiance to the delicious food and attentive service was spot on, including the restrooms with attendants. Don't miss out on trying their outstanding Old Fashioned. It was truly the best evening we've enjoyed in a long time!
On my recent trip to downtown Las Vegas, I had my first encounter with the Plaza Casino. Though I didn't stay overnight, I spent a while exploring the lively and energetic casino floor, which was very easy to get around. My attempt to use the rewards desk was somewhat disappointing—it was closed, with a sign directing patrons to a nearby casino office that had just a single employee and a slow-moving line. Fortunately, I found a nearby kiosk that allowed me to print a rewards card effortlessly, but I missed the chance to interact with staff directly. A standout feature of the Plaza is its access to excellent dining options. Having Pinkbox Doughnuts and Hash House A Go-Go right on site is a definite advantage. Although the food court was relatively quiet when I visited, there was plenty of seating available, which was perfect for enjoying a quick Pinkbox treat. While I haven’t considered staying overnight at the Plaza, the casino itself offers a pleasant experience for spending some time. The overall vibe and convenient location make it an appealing choice for those seeking a fun casino adventure downtown with fantastic food choices. The Plaza is certainly worth a visit!
