During our stay at Veranda Bar, we decided to have breakfast there for three mornings in a row. The service we received was exceptional, however, we were disappointed with the quality of the food. The portions were small, the flavors were lacking, and the prices were quite high. We ended up having to use hot sauce to enhance the taste of some of our meals. The $30 croissant French toast was particularly disappointing as it was literally just a croissant. Perhaps the dinner and lunch options are better, but based on our breakfast experience, we would advise against paying full price for a meal at Veranda Bar.
Visited Chickie's & Pete's twice during my stay in Las Vegas when I wanted to relax in the hotel. Had to try the famous crab fries, which were definitely unique and enough for two or three as an appetizer. I personally thought the fries were the standout item, so next time I might just order them with a sandwich. The mussels in wine broth were good but not exceptional - I felt they needed a deeper flavor. Despite this, the dish was reasonably priced and came with so many mussels that I couldn't finish them all. The service at Chickie's & Pete's was outstanding, and they offered a wide selection of beer and drinks. Overall, it's a neat place worth checking out.
I recently visited Topgolf Las Vegas for a bachelor party with friends. We made a reservation ahead of time for a Saturday night and easily found the venue after a short walk from the MGM Grand. Our lane, 405, had a fantastic view and the weather was perfect. Our waitress, Stephanie, provided excellent service throughout the evening. We ordered a variety of delicious dishes including pretzel plate, wings, pizza, sliders, fries, and nachos, along with some drinks to meet the minimum charge for the lane. The food was tasty and we enjoyed everything we ordered. Free parking was also a convenient perk. I would definitely recommend Topgolf Las Vegas for a fun night out with friends.
The room at Downtown Grand was spacious and the blackout curtains were a nice touch. Unfortunately, there was no microwave or mini fridge in the room. The hotel's location just a block away from Fremont St was convenient. The pool area looked nice, although the hours from 9am-6pm seemed a bit short compared to other hotel pools in smaller towns that are open until 10pm.
