Our initial visit to T-Bones Chophouse in Las Vegas left a positive impression that motivated us to return. The opportunity arose on March 7, 2025, thanks to a complimentary reservation arranged by a casino host. Despite arriving about 25 minutes early due to the venue's usual weekend crowds, we were advised to wait until closer to our reservation time, which led to a bit of a delay as we were seated around 17 minutes late. While some may find this negligible, it was an initial hiccup in our evening. The booth seating was comfortable, and the décor impressive, with a live performer enhancing the ambiance. Early on, the background music featured some unexpected choices like Guns N' Roses, which seemed slightly out of place for the setting. The lively atmosphere was audible, perhaps louder than one might anticipate for a high-end establishment. Our meal began with an Old Fashioned and a glass of Cabernet, followed by Lobster Chowder and Crab Cakes as appetizers. For the main course, we ordered a 12 oz Lobster, a 16 oz NY Strip (Boneless Cut), and a 12 oz NY Strip (Featured Cut). It was noted that the menu offered conflicting details about the steak's origin, either from Margaret River, Australia, or Snake River Farms, Idaho, and was a point of curiosity. Sides included Mac & Cheese, Broccoli, and Artichoke Romana. Unfortunately, the meal service was sluggish, with a 64-minute wait for our main dishes. The drinks were excellent, albeit with a delay in receiving a second round. The appetizers and the lobster with the 12 oz steak were exceptional. However, the 16 oz steak did not meet expectations, served more rare than the requested medium, and over-charred. Although it was reheated, it remained underdone, but acceptable on occasion. The sides were average, and bread service was notably late, arriving after the appetizers and without butter initially. In conclusion, this visit was satisfactory but not outstanding, reflected in a 3-star rating. Despite the uneven experience, the restaurant's popularity makes it a place to consider. While this might not be a future destination for us, the quality of the drinks, appetizers, and the amiable service from Tristan, Travis, and the hosts were redeeming factors. Our server's effort to rectify the situation by adjusting the bill was appreciated, kudos to Tristan for striving to improve our experience.
I can't emphasize enough how incredible the food and service are at Viva in Las Vegas. With just one night in the city, we were absolutely delighted to have chosen Viva for our dinner, as it turned out to be the most outstanding dining experience we've had in a long while. It's truly rare to encounter a restaurant that excels in both culinary excellence and exceptional service. Our server did an amazing job explaining the dishes, guiding us through our choices, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. We will definitely be returning.
As someone familiar with New York pizza, I must say that Grimaldi's Pizzeria in Las Vegas delivers a pretty good slice. The tomato sauce may be a bit on the watery side, but it’s packed with flavor, and the cheese complements it well. I visited several times in one week because the quality you get for the price is impressive. My top choice would be the traditional pizza with mozzarella and tomato sauce. It features a nice, crispy crust and folds just like a true New York slice should. The reason for the three-star rating lies in the service. While dining with friends, we all ordered individual pizzas, but they were served inconsistently. The first pizza arrived, followed by the second 10 minutes later, and then the third another 20 minutes after that. It’s puzzling to order separately yet receive the pizzas over a 30-minute span. We ended up eating them as they came to prevent them from getting cold, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, with only about seven or eight patrons there. If you're after a good New York-style pizza, I definitely recommend this spot. However, if you're dining in a large group, be prepared for staggered serving times.
I recently visited P.F. Chang’s at Planet Hollywood on a weekday with high expectations for a meal but left feeling quite disappointed. Being very hungry after a long rest, I headed straight from my hotel room to the casino floor in search of food. I ordered a veggie bowl with tofu and fried rice, but the tofu was missing when my meal arrived. When I asked the server to look into it, there was a significant delay before they returned. After waiting for quite a while, the veggie bowl still arrived without the tofu. Additionally, despite specifically requesting vegetarian fried rice without egg, it came with egg, requiring yet another correction. Eventually, they replaced it with the proper vegetarian fried rice. I reached out to a manager, who was very kind and resolved the situation, which is why I'm giving a 2-star rating instead of a lower one. Typically, I enjoy P.F. Chang’s, but this visit was not up to their usual standard. The ambiance, however, is quite pleasant with a nice patio. If you decide to dine there, I recommend double-checking your order and the service.
Looking for a unique Vegas experience? Look no further! SuperFrico delivers with incredible food, top-notch service, and entertaining, interactive acts. Highly recommended dishes include the meatballs, mushroom gnocchi, and beef cheek ravioli. Among these, the meatballs were undoubtedly the standout favorite at our table.
I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Fremont Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the first time, having visited other Boyd properties before. This complimentary stay left me pleasantly surprised. My family was in town for the holidays, and we decided to indulge in a quick mini-vacation in Vegas. The check-in process was smooth and efficient. Although only one of our two rooms was initially ready, the bellman was helpful with our luggage. Fortunately, we soon discovered that the second room was prepared as well—a delightful surprise, likely due to a system mix-up. My cousin obtained the key quickly, and before long, we were off to enjoy some casino time. We stayed on the 3rd floor in rooms 305 and 306. While the rooms were on the smaller side, they were comfortable and well-equipped with amenities like a fridge, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of towels. It's worth noting that if you're planning to stay in the Fremont Street area, packing earplugs is a good idea, as the vibrant nightlife can be quite lively. A highlight of the stay was the new food hall, which offered a variety of dining options. Additionally, there are plenty of eateries within walking distance, so finding a satisfying meal is never an issue! Overall, I deducted one star for a couple of reasons: the food at the ramen spot and Lanai wasn't particularly great, and the rooms and bathrooms were a bit cramped. Nonetheless, our stay was enjoyable!
