d4Jk8q left a 3 star review for The Charcoal Room

I visited The Charcoal Room for the second time, and the atmosphere was anything but friendly. We were greeted in an unwelcoming manner, and Daisy seemed displeased about accommodating a member of our party who has a disability. The waitress lacked friendliness during both order-taking and greeting. She neither offered refills nor inquired about our satisfaction with the food. Speaking of which, the food was quite bland and lacked seasoning, despite being cooked properly. The sole positive aspect was the friendly service from the staff member who brought us our food. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming, and it may deter me from returning.

Reserved a king bed room but was given a room with 2 queen beds. Despite having a reservation, no king bed rooms were available upon arrival. The safe in the room was non-functional, and even after requesting a replacement, it was never delivered. The sink stopper was faulty, getting stuck in the down position, and despite reporting this issue, nothing was done. The showers have a half-glass, half-open design, causing water to flood the bathroom floor. The wallpaper in the room was peeling off, and the bedside lights were overly bright, with bulbs around 200 watts, making them unsuitable for nighttime. Will definitely choose a different place to stay next time.

Best pizza I've had on the strip! While I can't say I've tried them all, this place stands out. Pin Up Pizza is perfect for grabbing a slice or ordering a whole pie for a group. The slices are enormous—easily the biggest in Vegas! Not only are they massive, but they also pack a delicious punch. It may not be exactly like NY pizza, but it holds its own. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, having initially thought it was just a gimmick for oversized pizza. Highly recommend giving it a shot if you're nearby; you won't be disappointed! I'd give it a solid 4.1.

Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas offers a nice course and good value, but the scheduling of tee times can be an issue. Just a few years ago, it was possible to complete a round in well under 4 hours. However, the course has become much busier, with groups often stacking up by the 9th hole. The backlog can be particularly frustrating, as evidenced by a recent experience where three groups were waiting to tee off on a par 4.

We didn't pre-book and had originally planned to stay elsewhere, but we found good value for the location and weekend rates at The D. The staff were friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Bacon Nation is a fantastic spot for brunch! The rooms can be a bit noisy due to the stage next to the casino on Fremont Street, but that wasn't a big issue for us since we were up late as well.

Rosina is one of the best little lounges in Vegas. I recently visited for a business reception, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The atmosphere evokes a pre-prohibition high-end bar and lounge, complete with perfect lighting and seating areas. The staff and bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and rank among the best I've encountered on the strip. They seem to know every drink you could imagine and craft them perfectly with fresh ingredients. I highly recommend trying anything with the fresh-pressed ginger juice. Be prepared for a $100 minimum spend for a small table, but trust me, you won't be disappointed.

M Resort in Las Vegas has truly become our go-to destination whenever we're in town. Its location off the strip offers a slower pace and more relaxed atmosphere, providing the perfect balance for working comfortably while allowing others to safely explore the grounds independently. Being off the strip also means avoiding the usual distractions or uncomfortable interactions with those stumbling in from the street. The staff consistently goes above and beyond to ensure all needs are met, responding quickly and efficiently to any issues that arise. The dining options are exceptional; we've tried all the restaurants and have been consistently impressed by the quality of the meals, leaving us more than satisfied each time. Our complaints are minor and seem nit-picky in the grand scheme of things. The outdoor pool hours are quite limited, only open during the peak heat, which can be uncomfortable for some and doesn't cater to those who enjoy a morning swim. At times, the odors can be overpowering, from marijuana usage in the main entry or guest rooms to the "casino perfume" used to mask the smoke from cigarettes and cigars, which can sometimes cause headaches or nausea. There's also a lack of clear signage to help locate amenities, and the room service phone lines are frequently busy. Despite these small issues, M Resort remains a top choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Las Vegas.
