1923 Prohibition Bar at The Venetian

The Venetian location of 1923 Prohibition Bar sits behind a concealed entrance in Grand Canal Shoppes. Inside, low lighting, plush lounge seating and vintage New Orleans details create a genuine escape from the bright shopping concourse. No password is required, but finding the hidden elevator is part of the arrival experience.

Bourbon and whiskey drive the beverage program. The selection spans bourbon, rye, Scotch and American whiskey, while the cocktail list includes a Sazerac, Bourbon Smash, multiple flavored Old Fashioneds and a barrel-aged house Old Fashioned. Beer, wine and a nonalcoholic mocktail are available, but this is most rewarding for guests who want to explore whiskey or let the bartender guide them through a flight.

Friday and Saturday NOLA Nights combine live music and burlesque from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with no cover. The venue also hosts The Docksiders’ yacht-rock show on scheduled evenings and contains Voodoo Underground, a separate hidden room built around unusual cocktails, small plates and curiosities. Confirm tickets or reservations for those experiences rather than assuming standard bar entry includes them.

General seating is first come, first served, with reserved-table and VIP arrangements offered for groups. All patrons must be 21 or older with valid photo identification. The dress code is not nightclub-strict, but polished casual clothing fits the setting better than pool attire.
