Cal Sports Bar at California Hotel Las Vegas

Take a comfy seat and enjoy the game on one of the large TVs. Sip a cocktail or down a beer while you await the outcome of your betting venture. The sports book is right next door to add to the convenience. As we all know, a bit of risk adds to the excitement of sporting competition, and if you’re going to be sitting on the edge of your seat, you might as well be comfortable and among friends. Winning always feels good, but even losing is bearable in such a congenial atmosphere. Enjoy yourself. And may the best team (or horse, or man/woman, or car, or whatever!) win!

Utterly amazed. This venue was full of impressive elements: the operations manager truly embodied hospitality, prioritizing excellent service, while the chef prepared a fantastic selection of appetizers for our group. There were plenty of seating options, and the bartender crafted an array of cocktails. The place was immaculate and undoubtedly a must-visit on our next trip to Vegas.

Cal Sports Lounge in Las Vegas is an awesome location if you plan to spend time on Fremont and is just a quick cab ride to the strip. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and the AC worked well. Rates were good even for Friday and Saturday. I would stay here again without a doubt—better than any hotel I've stayed at on the strip. However, the elevators seem to have a lot of issues; only one of three was working during my stay, so the wait for the elevator was sometimes quite long.

This was my first visit to Las Vegas, and I would say that Cal Sports Lounge was alright overall. Upon entering, the main casino floor has a very intense cigarette smell almost constantly. One highlight was the hospitality from the staff; they were consistently polite and welcoming. Our room was comfy and inviting, offering a good value for the price. The hotel was well-maintained, and the bathroom and amenities added to the pleasant experience. In terms of location, it's about a 10-15 minute drive from the strip, so keep that in mind if you're planning to visit. However, it's just a few minutes away from the world-renowned Fremont Street, which was an amazing experience. All in all, I had a great experience here and would definitely love to come back!

My recent visit to Cal Sports Lounge was enjoyable. The staff at the customer service counter were friendly and helpful, providing us with all the necessary information. The room was clean and well-maintained by housekeeping. The location is convenient, just a block away from the Fremont and a short drive from the strip, with plenty of free parking available. While the casino was a bit dated, it still provided lots of entertainment. The only drawback was that during my stay, two out of three elevators were out of service for 5 days, resulting in long wait times and crowded rides. Overall, my experience at Cal Sports Lounge was positive despite the elevator issue.

What I Disliked

The room at Cal Sports Lounge was clean and the AC, although a little loud, helped to combat the intense Las Vegas heat. I do wish there was a coffee pot available. The service was excellent and the location is very convenient, being close to Fremont Street, Main Street, Market Place, and with a good parking area. I especially enjoyed watching the Plaza fireworks show from the air-conditioned crossover Bridge to Main Street area.

Cal Sports Lounge in Las Vegas is a fantastic spot for enjoying drinks, gaming, and a great atmosphere. In addition to a well-stocked bar, they offer various games such as darts, billiards, and pinball. The pinball machines are not for the faint of heart, set to play fast and provide a real challenge. Make sure to budget for both gaming and drinks when visiting this establishment.
