Delivering some of the city’s finest steaks, exquisite seafood, and creative specialty cocktails with exemplary service and hospitality, Barry’s is setting the stage for a culinary experience you will not forget.
The cool, classic ambiance is meticulously built with the warm-brown white oak parquet floors, navy and oxblood plaster tones, burnished brass furnishings, and antique mirrors. It is a fun place to walk into as you feel like you have gone back in time into the classic old glamor of the 1950s and 1960s while still maintaining a modern vibe.
The chef Barry Dakake brings his substantial experience working in numerous high-end restaurants in Las Vegas to the table. Teaming up with partners Yassine Lyoubi, Marco Cicione, and Donnie Rihn, they are creating a place that will soon establish itself as one of the best restaurants in Sin City. From the richly-flavored rib cap, the cooked lobster flambe, to the forty-day dry age rib eye, there is a lot to choose from at Barry’s Downtown. The restaurant also includes a vegan menu to ensure all tastes are included.

I typically refrain from posting negative reviews, especially about establishments I've cherished for years. However, after my most recent visit, I feel it's necessary to share my experience. The issues began with the reservation process. Online, I spotted an available slot at 8:15 PM, but when I called, the host insisted that only 8:45 PM was open. Despite mentioning the availability I saw online, the host wouldn't accommodate the earlier time, forcing me to book for 8:45 PM and later adjust it online myself. This felt unnecessarily unprofessional. This restaurant has always been my choice for special occasions, so I returned to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, it was evident that things had changed. Rather than seating us in the main dining area as usual, we were directed to the bar section. I declined, seeing several open tables, yet the host insisted, "This is what we have." Suddenly, another table was "found"—still not in the main area, but in the back, where the booth and rug were littered with breadcrumbs. It wasn't a great first impression. There were also noticeable lapses in service details. Steak knives were placed on the left, which might seem minor, but in high-end dining, these intricacies matter. When you're paying for a premium experience, the service should reflect that. To make matters worse, three TVs were turned on, broadcasting a basketball game. Expecting a refined ambiance for a birthday celebration, it felt more like a sports bar, which ruined the atmosphere. Additionally, the complimentary dessert for special occasions, a thoughtful touch in the past, was no longer offered. It's not about the dessert itself but the gesture that distinguishes a restaurant. It's evident the establishment's standards have declined, from the less elegant hostess attire to the overall drop in service and atmosphere. With numerous excellent steakhouses in Las Vegas, this experience makes me hesitant to return. On a positive note, our server was outstanding—this review doesn't reflect on him. He did everything possible to make the evening pleasant, and I genuinely appreciated his efforts. Regrettably, even exceptional service can't compensate for an overall disappointing visit. Regarding the food, the extra crispy Brussels sprouts were a letdown, arriving burnt and oily.

ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST SPOTS AROUND! We had an incredible experience dining here in November, so much so that we went back for a second dinner during our trip. The staff made the evening unforgettable, with exceptional service throughout. When returning to Vegas, this place will be a must-visit for us. We've been singing its praises to all our friends since we got back!

The food at Barry's Downtown Prime is phenomenal! 10 stars! Every single dish, from the bread and appetizers to the soups, salads, and entrees, was absolutely fabulous—no exaggeration! The lamb chops were so good, I couldn't resist diving in with gusto. The atmosphere brings a vintage, old-school vibe with TVs reminiscent of a classic cigar room, which I absolutely loved. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend this place for both locals and tourists. If I lived in Vegas, this would definitely be a regular spot for me.

Celebrated a birthday at Barry's Downtown Prime in Las Vegas and it was an exceptional experience. Undoubtedly one of the best steaks I've had in the city. The service was outstanding – our server was enthusiastic, attentive, and ensured everything was perfect. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the fire chicken was enormous! The truffle risotto was also exceptionally delicious. Highly recommend this spot if you're seeking an incredible meal near Fremont Street and the charm of "Old Vegas."

Barry's Downtown Prime did not meet my expectations. We decided to start with drinks at the bar, but had to wait at the reception desk while staff members chatted amongst themselves. The atmosphere felt more like a sports bar than a steakhouse, with loud music and TVs blaring. The bartender seemed more focused on sex appeal than customer service, which was off-putting. The drinks were expensive and disappointing. My cocktail was overly sweet and coated in sugar, making a mess that required a trip to the bathroom. While I didn't try the food, based on the overall experience, I doubt it would have been worth it. We decided to dine elsewhere and found a better steakhouse with the quality and ambiance we were looking for. If you prefer a flashy sports bar with sugary cocktails, then Barry's might be for you. However, if you're seeking a classy dining experience, look elsewhere. -Edit- Barry's Downtown Prime reached out and explained that the excessive noise levels may have been due to a live DJ. If noise is a concern for you, it's best to avoid Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Whether you're looking to impress clients in small groups or host a larger gathering in one of the gorgeous private spaces, this restaurant provides a truly remarkable and memorable experience. After dining, head to the rooftop for a drink and enjoy nearly 360 degree views of all of Vegas. Impressive work, Barry! We hope to see more locations in the future.
