What I Liked Most

What I Disliked

My experience at MGM Grand Buffet during brunch on the weekend was mediocre. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table, but the staff member who checked us in was friendly. However, I was disappointed by the limited food options available, especially considering the high price. I sampled a bit of everything and found the roast and carrot cake to be the only standout items. Overall, the food quality only merited a 1-star rating.

This was my first and only visit to the MGM Grand Buffet. I bought a speed pass online to skip the long lines, but still ended up waiting for 30 minutes. The buffet was crowded and had long lines as well. The food was average with a limited selection.

The food at MGM Grand Buffet tasted like it had been sitting out for days. My roll up napkin was full of hair and no one came to clear our dirty dishes. For the price of $30+ per person, the experience was not worth it.

What I Disliked

The MGM Grand Buffet was a disappointment for an MGM resort. We took advantage of a weekend brunch buffet deal through myVEGAS slots redemption, arriving at 10 AM on a Sunday with no wait. The skip the line pass costs $52 but does not include alcohol. The food at the buffet was lackluster, with no noticeable difference in variety compared to weekdays. The seafood section offered small shrimp, clams, and poorly prepared sushi, lacking options like lox or oysters. The baked salmon was overcooked, and the fried chicken was unappetizing. The scrambled eggs were dense and tasteless, and the omelette bar had long lines. By 10:30, they had replaced oatmeal and grits with pizza, which was disappointing. Overall, the food was dried out and bland, with boxed cereal and salad being the safest bets. Despite the subpar food, the service at the buffet was exceptional, with hardworking and kind staff who kept the area clean and organized. Alcoholic beverages were available for an additional cost, with single drinks priced at $15 and all-you-can-drink beer and wine or cocktails for $22 or $26, respectively. There was a two-hour maximum for drinking and dining, and wristbands were provided for those who purchased the all-you-can-drink option. However, the seating arrangement was inconvenient for those with the drink package, as the bar was far from some tables. Overall, for the price, you might be better off dining at other buffets like Wicked Spoon or Caesars Bacchanal Buffet.

A below average buffet for an MGM resort. Paid for the weekend brunch buffet through buy one get one on myVEGAS slots redemption. We arrived at 10 AM on a Sunday and were able to walk right in. They do have a skip the line pass purchase for $52–no alcohol included in that price (see alcohol pricing below as of September 2023). FOOD: Weekend buffets are typically more expensive compared to weekdays, as this one is, and you should expect more variety. There was no appreciable difference compared to weekdays. The seafood section is 45-60-count peel and each shrimp (think small), clams, rock hard sushi and that’s pretty much it. No lox, no oysters. There is baked salmon that excessively overcooked as it should be in a buffet steam pan. The fried chicken is just like the reviewers posted (image), almost cadaverous in appearance with beef-jerky textured meat and tendons, as if it was refried five times. The scrambled eggs were dense and flavorless. The omelette bar was too long of a line, so I didn’t wait. Around 10:30 they got rid of the oatmeal and the grits and set out pizza. Generally speaking of food was pretty dried out and bland—as many other reviewers posted. You can’t go wrong if you get boxed cereal, toast your own bagel, and just eat the salad. SERVICE: Service is exceptional. The people here work very hard and are so kind. Great, clean, and organized. ALCOHOL: if you want to purchase alcoholic beverages it’s approximately $15 for one drink or you can pay $22 for all you can drink beer and wine or $26 for cocktails. Two hour maximum drinking and sitting to eat. You get wristbands if you buy the all you can drink and can only take one drink at a time, which is fine, except we were seated all the way in the back by the salad bar, which is about as far as you can get from where the bar area is. For one person with the drink package it was $63. You’re better off at Wicked Spoon or Caesars Bacchanal Buffet

First and last visit. Purchased a speed pass online, which still had us wait 30 min in line, but it was far better than the regular line which extended to the opposite wall and then some. The Buffet itself was lackluster, very crowded with significant lines as well. Food quality was nothing special, with somewhat limited selection.
