The food at Otoro was top-notch, with fresh and delicious dishes. However, our party was divided into two separate tables that were quite far apart, which made it challenging for us to dine together. I'm uncertain about the policy for larger groups, but overall, it was a great dining experience.

Otoro in Las Vegas is a good Japanese restaurant with a beautifully designed high-end atmosphere located at the Mirage. The cocktails are strong and not watered-down like some other places. The robata grill skewers were tasty but not hot, which was a disappointment compared to other robata grills. The sushi was nothing special, although the hamachi crudo was delicious. Unfortunately, an order of otoro was missed. The standout dish was "The Rock," thinly sliced sirloin marinated and self-cooked on a 500° cooking stone. It was fun and tasty, providing some much-needed hot food in the meal. The restaurant was dark, making it difficult to take good photos.

Otoro is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Mirage theater, making it a perfect choice for a pre-show meal. Despite arriving early for our reservation, we were seated promptly and received attentive service from the staff. Our server, David, was helpful in answering our questions and taking our orders. Instead of ordering entrées, we opted for a variety of appetizers such as gyoza, tempura combo, and seaweed salad, as well as items from the robata grill like sea bass, scallops, and wagyu beef. The tempura was delightfully crispy, though the seaweed salad leaned towards the acidic side and could have used a touch of sweetness. While the spider roll fell short in flavor, we enjoyed the sea bass with mirin glaze and scallops with bacon sauce. Unfortunately, the wagyu beef was slightly overcooked. Overall, our experience at Otoro was positive, but due to some inconsistencies in the dishes, we have chosen to give it 4 stars.

Looking for a spot near the Mirage to grab a bite before a show? Otoro is just a short walk away from the theater, making it a convenient choice. Despite arriving early for our reservation, we were seated promptly by the attentive staff. Our server, David, was helpful in answering our questions and taking our orders efficiently. We decided to skip the entrées and sample a variety of appetizers like gyoza, tempura combo, and seaweed salad, as well as items from the robata grill such as Sea Bass, scallops, and wagyu beef, along with a spider roll. Our food arrived quickly, with the tempura impressing us with its crispiness. The seaweed salad could have benefitted from a touch of sweetness to balance the acidity. Unfortunately, the spider roll fell short, lacking depth of flavor. However, the sea bass with mirin glaze and scallops in bacon sauce were highlights, while the wagyu beef was slightly overcooked. Overall, we rated Otoro 4 stars due to the mixed experience with the dishes.

We wanted something before the show at Mirage, and it's conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the theater. We seated right away even though we were 30 minutes early for our reservation. Staffs were attentive. We got our menu, water, and drinks a few minutes after. Our server David answered all of our questions and took our orders. We opted out of ordering entrées and went to few appertizers (gyoza, tempura combo, seaweed salad), robata grill (Sea Bass, scallops and wagyu beef)items and a spider roll. Didn't take long to get our food. Tempura was nice and crispy. The seaweed salad needed a bit of sweet as it was more on the acidic side. Then the roll came. Unfortunately, we weren't impressed by it. It lacks the taste and seems just one note. We loved the sea bass (with mirin glaze) and scallops with some sort of bacon sauce. The wagyu was overcooked. That's why we only gave 4 ☆s.
