A few months back, I had the chance to try the brunch at The Front Yard, available Friday to Sunday from 10am to 3pm. Located in Ellis Island Hotel, I found parking out front and walked in to discover a welcoming open space. It’s a great spot to catch a game while enjoying a wide variety of cocktails and food. Although the waffles were a bit dry, the brisket benedict and wings were definitely satisfying. They also offer impressive mega cocktails. Be sure to check out their weekly events, such as Mega Mondays with BOGO mega cocktails, Tequila and Trivia on Tuesdays, and half-priced wine on Wednesdays.

I decided to visit The Front Yard in Las Vegas for the day as a tourist. While the location is slightly off from the main casinos, it's still conveniently close and offers a refreshing alternative to other spots. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a drink at a more affordable price compared to the strip. The menu is concise, but I tried their signature FrontYard Burger and the Mint Berry Smash drink. The burger was bursting with flavor, and I savored every bite paired with the minty, fruity drink. I'll definitely return for another relaxing lunch. The staff was excellent— the hostess was welcoming, and our server checked in periodically. The manager even stopped by to ensure everything was up to par and to see if we needed anything.

Mixed feedback on The Front Yard. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is appealing—bright, airy, with a spacious bar and numerous TVs for sports enthusiasts. The selection of beers on tap is impressive. However, while the food isn't bad, the prices are somewhat high, particularly since The Village Pub is just a short distance away, offering better pricing and comparable or even superior food. The house salad was enjoyable, and the meatballs were outstanding! Unfortunately, the steak ordered medium rare arrived well-done. While the flavor was fine, it was overcooked and placed directly on the salad and fries, affecting their taste. The server suggested adding Parmesan and garlic to the fries, which was a good call, though they could have been crisper if not covered by the steak. The in-house brisket was a letdown—mostly chopped, greasy, and not appetizing. It’s best to skip the brisket. Also, request that hot steak not be placed on top of salad and fries. Definitely order extra meatballs!

I had a fantastic experience at The Front Yard in Las Vegas. Despite not having high expectations for Ellis Island Hotel's dining options, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. My visit on a Saturday morning was filled with a fun atmosphere, thanks to the live DJ and delicious food and drinks. The service was fast and efficient, ensuring that our glasses were never empty. It's safe to say that The Front Yard has now become a top choice for me when it comes to dining in Las Vegas.

The Front Yard in Las Vegas has received mixed reviews, but with great service and a nice atmosphere, there are some positives to consider. The spacious bar and numerous TV's make it a great spot for sports watching, with a good selection of beers on tap. The food, however, comes with a higher price tag compared to nearby options like The Village Pub. The house salad and meatballs received positive feedback, but the steak arrived overcooked when ordered medium rare. It was placed on top of the salad and fries, affecting their taste. Adding Parmesan and garlic to the fries was a recommended improvement. The brisket, unfortunately, was not well-received due to being greasy and lacking in quality. Overall, it's best to skip the brisket and consider ordering extra meatballs instead. Be sure to request not to have a hot steak placed on top of your other dishes for a better dining experience at The Front Yard.

The Front Yard is a fantastic place to enjoy a pint and some delicious food while taking a break from the high prices of the strip. The food was tasty and the bacon was especially incredible. I also enjoyed the live music during lunch, it was a nice added touch. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Vegas. And if you have the Las Vegas Advisor coupon book, there are plenty of deals on food, drinks, and free play for Ellis Island, so be sure to take advantage of that.
