We visited Zuma on a weekday evening without a reservation and were able to secure a spot at the bar to watch the chefs in action. Although the service was not always top-notch, the food was truly exceptional. Each dish, from the appetizer to the main course, was a work of art. However, it is important to note that the prices at Zuma are on the higher side.

What I Disliked

My experience at Zuma in Las Vegas was on a weekday evening without a reservation. Luckily, we were able to snag seats at the bar, giving us a front row view of the chefs in action. While the service left something to be desired, the food more than made up for it. Each dish from the appetizers to the main courses was a work of art. However, it is important to note that the prices are on the higher side.

We have now been to Zuma 3 times. So I have felt that I've given it ample tries to know how we feel about it. The most recent time we got mostly sushi as well as the wagyu steak. Not all rolls are created equal that's for sure. We highly recommend their special which is topped by tuna. It was not on menu but definitely their best roll. Their skirt steak order slightly less cooked that what you want. As all three times we went if we ordered medium it was medium well. Medium rare it was medium and rare it was medium rare. We ordered a total of 6 steaks over the course of 3 meals. All but one were off from the requested cook. Their fish is super fresh and does not taste or smell fishy at all. Their cocktails are fun but not for me. I prefer a super boring Japanese whiskey with a smidgen of water. Of which they have a decent selection. Lastly if you like black cod you need to try theirs as it is melt in your mouth delicious. Enjoy!

This place is perfect for your “fancy dinner” night out in Vegas. The food was really good - we ordered ~8-10 dishes and they were all truly great - modern and interesting updates on classics. Skirt steak was definitely worth it and the tataki and sushi were standouts.

Zuma Las Vegas is a culinary gem that left me thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Nestled within the heart of the city's dining scene, this restaurant offers an exquisite blend of Japanese izakaya cuisine with a modern twist. From the moment I entered, the ambiance was inviting and stylish, with a sleek and contemporary design. The attentive staff made me feel right at home, offering impeccable service throughout the evening. Now, let's talk about the food. Zuma's menu is a culinary journey through the flavors of Japan, featuring a wide array of dishes that are meant for sharing. The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality. The robata grill selections were a highlight, with perfectly grilled skewers bursting with flavor.
