About Border Grill Mandalay Bay

Border Grill is inside Mandalay Bay on the elevated walkway overlooking the resort's beach and pool complex. From the front desk, pass the guest elevators, take the casino pathway to the left, and follow the route overlooking Mandalay Bay Beach; the restaurant is on the left. Two dining levels, a full bar, and an outdoor patio make it particularly appealing in mild weather.

Chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger build the menu around regional Mexican flavors rather than generic combo plates. Green corn tamales, tortilla soup, Baja ceviche, chicken poblano enchiladas, and Yucatan pork are representative choices, while the weekend brunch uses unlimited small plates to let diners try several dishes. Cocktails and a broad tequila selection complement the food.

Border Grill is a strong fit for brunch groups, families wanting something more interesting than a food court, and visitors seeking a relaxed celebrity-chef meal with a view. The patio is a highlight, but it can be weather-dependent; reservations are sensible for weekend brunch and busy convention periods.

Decide between Border Brunch and the separate weekend lunch menu before reserving. The current brunch format offers unlimited small plates with a two-hour limit, while bottomless drinks are an additional per-person purchase. Confirm the current menu and terms for your date instead of assuming the drink option is included in the food price.

The restaurant’s current directions place it across from BBQ Mexicana, between Shark Reef and the convention center. That is a useful landmark when approaching from the casino. Request patio seating if the pool outlook is part of the appeal, and ask the restaurant about the route to your assigned dining level if stairs are a concern. Reservations are encouraged but are not mandatory; a reservation remains sensible when your group has a firm show or convention schedule.

The perfect spot for modern Mexican cuisine. The Border Brunch menu is filled with a variety of delicious dishes, and the endless mimosas, offered with three different juice options, allow you to craft the perfect blend to suit your taste. The brisket enchiladas were simply delightful, and the atmosphere provided a comforting touch. The service was exceptional, with staff who were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. I highly recommend this fantastic restaurant.

Tried the skirt steak and enchiladas trio at Border Grill in Las Vegas, along with the chips and salsa trio. It was all delicious. The food tasted fresh and authentic Mexican, without being overloaded with cheese. The steak came with a side of light and tasty veggies. The portions were perfect - not too heavy, but still filling.

Checked out the reviews and decided to give Border Grill in Las Vegas a try. The chips and guacamole were excellent, though a bit more guac would have been nice ($14). Tried the seafood enchiladas, which were good but not outstanding. The steak dish was quite enjoyable. Service was very good overall.
