About Pasta Cucina

Pasta Cucina is inside Sunset Station in Henderson, giving locals and east-valley visitors a full-service Italian option without Strip pricing or formality. The dining room is casual enough for families and weeknight dinners, while the menu has enough variety for a date or a meal before entertainment at the resort.

The kitchen focuses on familiar Italian-American dishes: lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Alfredo, rigatoni vodka, pizzas and chicken entrées. Lobster ravioli and seafood fra diavolo add a few richer choices, but this is not trying to be an experimental or highly formal Italian restaurant. Portions and prices are generally more approachable than at major Strip resorts, making it a useful option for groups with traditional tastes.

For an effortless entrance to this beautiful restaurant, it's best to park near the bowling alley. The drinks here are both flavorful and potent, and won't break the bank. A meal for two, including drinks, comes to about $100 before tip. The lasagna is quite flavorful and generously portioned, with a taste that improves if marinated overnight. Although the bread is somewhat dull and served with plain butter, the salad is generously sized, though its dressing is quite mild. The staff is efficient and adept at accommodating large parties.

Returned for another visit and enjoyed the seafood fra diavolo and lasagna. I truly can't recommend this establishment enough. The staff is fantastic, and you have the opportunity to watch the skilled chefs at work! I dined here a while back and thought it was good. Last night, however, was exceptional. Their homemade pastas are a delight! The only minor issue was the pistachio gelato, which had a sorbet-like texture instead of being creamy. It was still tasty, so it's not even worth mentioning. And the mozzarella—absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the price, which is quite reasonable.

Visited Pasta Cucina at Sunset Station for dinner and had a pleasant experience. However, there was a significant delay in receiving our food - it took an hour from seating to being served. While the food looked appetizing, it was not served at the desired temperature. The bruschetta was tasty but the portion size did not match the price.
