About Smith & Wollensky - Las Vegas

Smith & Wollensky is in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, convenient to Palazzo, Wynn and the center-Strip shopping corridor. The multi-level restaurant combines a traditional steakhouse dining room with bar seating and private-event capacity, making it suitable for both couples and large business groups.

USDA Prime dry-aged steaks are the foundation, while American Wagyu cuts, a tableside swinging tomahawk and surf-and-turf presentations add Las Vegas theater. Angry shrimp, crab cake, tuna tartare and chowder give the opening courses range, and lunch provides burgers and smaller choices that are easier on the budget.

Choose it for a conventional, polished steakhouse experience and a wine-focused dinner. Large cuts are meant to be shared and can improve value, but ask about portion sizes before adding multiple sides. Reservations are strongly recommended for dinner.

While I was hoping to give a full 5-star rating due to the excellent service, ambiance, and overall food quality, the main dish I ordered, the sea bass, was quite disappointing. SUITABILITY FOR FAMILIES: Yes PETS ALLOWED: No PARKING: Available at the shared Venetian Parking Garage MENU/FOOD: The steakhouse offers a diverse menu sure to satisfy a variety of tastes, though it might not cater well to vegans, which is expected for such a venue. Bread Service: I skipped it, waiting for the main dishes, but my friends assured me it was enjoyable. Chilean Sea Bass ($50): 1 Star – The fish's texture was spot-on, but the flavor was lost due to an overpowering lemony poblano sauce, making each bite extremely sour. Seared Norwegian Salmon ($44): 3 Stars – Cooked nicely, though I usually prefer salmon as sashimi. The dish sounded better than it tasted; the salmon was paired with dry split pea and diced vegetables instead of a saucy accompaniment. Maine Lobster Tail ($19): 5 Stars – Perfectly cooked and seasoned, a great buy at that price. Truffle Mac and Cheese ($20): 4 Stars – Delicious with a nice touch of campanelle pasta instead of the usual elbows.

I ordered the specialty dry-aged bone-in 28oz ribeye, and it was outstanding. My companion chose the filet, which was equally delicious. It's easily the best steak I've ever experienced. The service was exceptional, and we will definitely return.

Smith & Wollensky in Las Vegas is an incredible steakhouse, especially perfect for holiday company parties. Our employee appreciation night was held here and it was truly fantastic! The staff was welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed a house salad, a bone-in ribeye, along with sides of mashed potatoes and mac & cheese. Definitely a 5-star experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
