About Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Lounge

Yellowtail moves between traditional Japanese ingredients and modern presentations, with occasional Korean accents adding heat and depth. Seasonal fish appears as sashimi, nigiri, carpaccio, and specialty rolls, while cooked dishes range from rock shrimp and black cod to long-braised Wagyu beef. The tuna pizza has become one of the restaurant's most recognizable signatures.

Sake receives as much attention as the sushi, with selections representing many Japanese prefectures alongside whisky, beer, wine, and cocktails. Warm wood and stone give the dining room a sleek but inviting feel, and fountain-facing seats add a dramatic backdrop without overwhelming the food.

Later in the evening, Yellowtail's lounge identity becomes more prominent, with a shorter menu of rolls, shareable starters, and sweets supporting drinks and a livelier crowd. That flexibility makes it suitable for a full dinner, a fountain-view date night, or a polished late-night stop.

Dinner and the late-night lounge are different service periods. Bellagio currently advertises the lounge's after-hours menu on Friday and Saturday, so do not assume the full dinner menu remains available until the bar closes or that the same late service runs every night. The shorter selection includes sushi rolls, starters and sweets; check the current menu before planning a substantial post-show meal.

For groups with different preferences, the restaurant offers cooked dishes alongside raw fish, so a sushi-focused dinner need not mean every guest orders sashimi. Discuss ingredient restrictions with the team when booking. If the fountains are a key part of the occasion, request the desired seating area directly and confirm what the reservation includes; the venue's view does not guarantee the same sightline from every table.

Our recent visit to Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Bar in Las Vegas was inspired by recommendations from family members who had previously praised their experiences there. A word to the wise: secure a reservation ahead of time! Even with ours, we faced a wait exceeding 20 minutes past our scheduled time. Once seated, our table was located in the far-left corner near the bar, unfortunately obstructed by a large structure that hindered our view. However, a highlight of our evening was the exceptional service provided by the staff. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. The gyoza, cucumber salad, and sushi were fair but lacked a memorable touch in both taste and portion size, where some improvement could be needed. On a brighter note, the tempura lobster, halibut, and kalbi roll were exceptional, impressing us with their distinctive flavors and flawless preparation. Overall, Yellowtail has much to offer but could enhance certain aspects. It will be interesting to see how they refine their dining experience in the future.

Visited Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Bar in Las Vegas over the weekend with a group for a birthday celebration. Our server was exceptional - friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Not being a sushi fan, she recommended the Filet which was absolutely amazing. The rest of the group enjoyed their sushi as well. We had a great view of the fountains from our corner table near the kitchen. Our server even reminded us to take a picture outside with the fountain before heading to a show. She went above and beyond to make our experience even better. If I find myself in Vegas again, I will definitely return to Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Bar.

Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant & Bar in Las Vegas is a bustling spot that offers more than just your typical sushi and sashimi options. I opted for the Omakase menu, which features the chef's choice selection of dishes, including A5 wagyu steak and a variety of premium seafood presented on seven beautifully crafted plates. Despite only being able to secure a spot at the bar, I found the bartender to be incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, I did notice that some of the other staff seemed a bit inattentive, quickly serving the dishes without providing detailed explanations of each course. At a menu price point of $200, I believe a bit more attention and explanation would truly showcase the chef's skill and attention to detail.
