Absinthe Las Vegas: Even More Than I Expected

I love this show and tell everyone who visits to check this one out. I’m so thankful someone recommended this one to me, so I’d like to do the same for you.

Before you get too excited, this is not about the Anise flavored spirit. While I’m sure there are those out there that love it, I’m referring to the number one show on the Las Vegas Strip called, Absinthe. I love this show and tell everyone who visits to check this one out. I’m so thankful someone recommended this one to me, so I’d like to do the same for you.

Located at the Caesars Palace is an incredible performance featuring some of the most fantastic acrobats in the world. Everyone I’ve met that has seen this show says the same thing - “it’s a one-of-a-kind production that I’ll see again.”

It was truly more than I ever expected the show to be. It seems to be a basic, little white tent that seats a small crowd from the outside looking in. I also thought it would be a typical Vegas variety show with some talented acts, but nothing too crazy. Wow, was I wrong. This 75-minute show is non-stop funny, entertaining, and raunchy. The tent is massive, with hundreds of seats, tables, a bar, and a circular stage in the center. I was shocked.

Before the show started, I grabbed a drink at the bar outside, which I highly recommend. Once we all mingled and laughed, we were escorted inside the tent to our great seats. I must mention that there is not a bad seat in the house. The stage can be seen from every angle due to its circular design so don’t get too caught up in where you will be sitting. We were as close to the action as we could get, but I knew this would be true from any other seat in the venue.

This contemporary circus show has been drawing in rave reviews for years, and I finally understand why. The “producer,” also known as the Gazillionaire, is a filthy rich, talented artist who hosts the entire show. I know some people get offended by some of the jokes, but it’s all fun and games if you remember it’s comedy and to stay open-minded. This is a laugh-out-loud kind of funny.

What I love most about this show is that there is never a dull moment. There is always something new to watch, and every performer is incredibly talented. Expect to see a variety of acts, but some I remember specifically are tap dancing, a roller-skating duo, juggling, and singing, to name a few. However, acts are constantly changing, so don’t be surprised if you see something you’ve never heard before.

I know there are so many shows to see on the strip, and honestly, it can be overwhelming trying to decide which to visit. Let me help you make it easy and buy yourself some tickets to Absinthe. You will not regret this decision. Grab a few friends, some drinks, and prepare to laugh so hard your belly will hurt.

Absinthe is overly crude and overpriced. See a Cirque show and you'll be much more entertained.
