If you enjoy staying in downtown Las Vegas, Downtown Grand is a fantastic option. The hotel is located just a block off of Fremont Street, which helps with reducing noise in the rooms. However, once you step out the front door, you immediately feel the lively vibe of Fremont Street. The location truly cannot be beaten, as you only have to cross one street to enter the blocked off area of Fremont. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is friendly. Although the casino is not large, it offers great table game limits and creates a lively atmosphere. We have only stayed once, but we will definitely be returning. Downtown Grand has become our new favorite hotel in Las Vegas, especially since we prefer Fremont over the Strip.

I highly recommend visiting the Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum in Las Vegas. The museum is just as informative, if not more, than the actual Visitor Center at Hoover Dam. It is located inside a hotel but is free and open to the public. The exhibits are very informative, especially those about the workers themselves.
