Update: I’ve removed one star. Our first experience at this place was great, so we decided to return and order a New York-style pizza topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach, and a touch of hot honey at around 1 a.m. The wait in line was about 10 minutes, but when we reached the front, we discovered a small card noting it was cash only—no staff mentioned this, and there were no other visible signs. We had to find an ATM and then rejoin the line. The night shift, however, didn’t seem to match the quality of service. The pizza was disappointingly soggy, with the toppings and crust resembling a pizza soup, while the tip was undercooked. The flavors were spot on, but the execution was poor. I understand it's late, and the crowd can be challenging, but our earlier visit at 3 p.m. was so impressive that we wanted to experience it again just 10 hours later. During the day, Hector prepared a memorable pizza that I’ll crave long after leaving Vegas. But the pizza that night was quite the letdown. In summary, while the taste is impressive, the consistency varies greatly depending on the time. One visit might deliver a delightful pie, while another could result in a mushy disappointment. Original Impression: Located inside the Plaza by the parking lot, this place offers the best New York-style pizza I've had in years, even compared to actual New York. We enjoyed a pepperoni and mushroom pizza with hot honey—all prepared with care and love. Expect about a 20-minute wait for a freshly made pie. We also tried the fries and fried pickles, which were perfectly fresh and hot, accompanied by delicious ranch dressing!

Revised Review: A Mixed Experience at Pop Up Pizza We recently revisited Pop Up Pizza, drawn back by our previous satisfying experience. This time, we ordered a New York-style pizza topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, spinach, and a drizzle of hot honey at around 1 a.m. Upon arriving, we waited in line for about 10 minutes only to discover a small notice at the front stating "cash only." There were no other indications or communication from the staff regarding this policy, so we had to leave to find an ATM before rejoining the line. Unfortunately, the late-night crew didn't seem to put the same care into crafting the pizza as the afternoon staff did. Our pizza was wet, soggy, and difficult to handle, with a tip that resembled raw dough. While the flavors were present, the execution felt more like pizza soup. We understand it's a busy time with night crowds, but having experienced their incredible pizza just 10 hours earlier, we left feeling disappointed. During our earlier visit, a staff member named Hector crafted a pizza that we'll fondly remember long after leaving Vegas. However, the 1 a.m. pizza left us wanting more. The flavors at Pop Up Pizza are undeniably great, but consistency seems to vary based on the time of day. You could either get a wonderful pizza or a soggy rendition. Our initial visit was delightful. Located inside the Plaza by the parking lot, Pop Up Pizza served us the best New York pizza we've had in a long time, rivaling those in New York itself. Our pepperoni mushroom pizza with hot honey was made with care and worth the 20-minute wait for a fresh pie. We also tried the fries and fried pickles, which were hot, fresh, and perfectly complemented by delicious ranch. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic New York-style pizza, but be mindful of the time you decide to go.

Decided to give Pop Up Pizza a try around 11 pm, thanks to a serious case of the Vegas Growlies. Grabbed a Pepperoni slice right as it came out of the oven. The pizza exceeded my expectations. The crust was fantastic, with just the right amount of cheese and a generous topping of pepperoni. If those Vegas Growlies hit again and I'm near Pop Up Pizza, I'd definitely stop by to see if the second experience matches the first 😀👍👍

This cozy gem, nestled right on the corner of the casino near the Main Street exit, is a go-to spot for delicious, affordable pizza. Unlike some of the more extravagant options like Pizza Rock and Evel Pie, this place offers a great selection of freshly made pies. Its convenient location makes it a breeze to pop in and out, with less foot traffic compared to other spots on Fremont or Ogden. Open until 2 AM on weekends, it’s perfect for late-night cravings. Don’t miss out on Mike's hot pep or simply ask for a slice with 'Mike's Hot Honey Drizzle'—absolutely fantastic!
