Rainforest Cafe is one of the best restaurants in Vegas for kids and we always make a stop here when the grandkids are in town. They love the animals and atmosphere. It also has a really good view of the strip from the balcony. The food is good, but you are definitely paying for the atmosphere more than the food quality.
For two decades, my wife and I have been visiting Sunset Station. We always appreciated the service in the casino, and we truly enjoyed the buffet – until it closed. All the other restaurants in the station met our standards, but our favorite was “the old Cafe,” where we would share a Chinese chicken salad and a cheese steak sandwich. Now, the Cafe has become Lucky Penny, and then Brass Fork – but the flavor of our favorite dishes wasn’t the same. It's still a fun place to visit on occasion, but I would recommend some other off the strip properties first.
We ate the pan roast combo and the gumbo, both of which were absolutely delicious. The sides and desserts were equally heavenly and the portions were large for the price. We definitely plan on returning to Tides at Green Valley Ranch anytime we are in the area.
I've always loved Durango Hills. It's easy to get a tee time and the course is pretty short so you don't have to hit drives 300 yards everytime.
