Recently had a fun night out at KAMU Ultra Karaoke with friends. The selection of songs was great and the room ambiance was on point with club lighting and a lively party atmosphere. The staff was helpful and gave us a tutorial on how to use the room, but drink service was a little slow. The food and drink selection was okay, but options were limited and prices were a bit high. On the positive side, they do offer complimentary beers in exchange for reviews.
Had lunch at Royal Britannia Gastropub in Las Vegas. It has a typical pub atmosphere and the service was okay. We ordered the Philly Cheesesteak for $21.95, which had grilled ribeye, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and melted provolone cheese on a toasted hoagie roll. The ingredients were decent, but the roll was dry and hard. The Pub Burger for $21.95 was a half-pound house blend burger with bacon, fried egg, sautéed onions, provolone, beer mustard, and lettuce on a brioche bun. The flavour was good and met our expectations. For the Pub Wings at $17.95, we chose teriyaki flavor. Unfortunately, they were dry and burned, not great. The Britannia Banger Bites for $14.95 were crispy garlic mashed potato bites with mild sausage, sharp cheddar, and stout beer gravy. They were mediocre and overly salty. We also tried the Winter Fog cocktail for $18, made with vodka, elderflower, fig, and cranberry. It was an elegant floral cocktail with a cool table-side presentation involving a fog bubble. The drink tasted great.
I was a bit disappointed with my recent stay at The Orleans in Las Vegas. The room was pleasant and had a lovely view of the mountains, despite showing signs of wear and tear. However, the nearly $50 resort fee for just a one-night stay felt excessive and significantly increased the overall cost. The casino was enjoyable and did not have a strong smoke smell, but the parking situation could use some improvement. It seemed unnecessary to dedicate the entire garage to valet parking when it was only a quarter full during my visit.
