Experience a little taste of The Bayou in the middle of the desert at The Orleans Hotel and Casino.
Inspired by the culture and hospitality of New Orleans, The Orleans Hotel and Casino is located just a short distance from the Las Vegas Strip and offers luxurious oversized rooms in a family-friendly environment. At 450 square feet, the standard room rivals the size of petite suites found throughout Las Vegas, and larger suites are also available, including the 1,800 square foot New Orleans Suite. The Orleans is always a popular Las Vegas destination with the hunger cravings hit, with many options for both romantic couples or those with kids in tow. Fine dining options are offered at Alder and Birch and the Prime Rib Loft, and more casual options abound, synch as Bailiwick, Big Al’s Oyster Bar, the Copper Whisk Cafe, and T G I Friday. You can also grab a quick bite at Subway, Sbarro, Fuddrucjers, and Baskin Robbins. Or grab a snack at the bowling alley or pop some popcorn into your mouth at one of the 18 movie theaters. Underage kids can pass time in the arcade while you spend some time and money in the casino, playing one of the over 2,600 slot machines. Spend some time in the friendly atmosphere of the sportsbook or be part of the action in the 25 table poker room. Have a good time while hoping for some good luck.

The Orleans in Las Vegas functions as a resort and offers a clean, although slightly dimly lit, atmosphere. It's a great spot if you're visiting for the casino, but for family events like cheerleading, there are both advantages and drawbacks. Advantages: The staff is friendly, and the convenience of having the arena on-site is a plus. Valet parking is included, and you'll find plenty of entertainment options with a bowling alley, movie theater, a variety of restaurants, and bars all on the premises. The rooms are spacious, featuring two queen beds if you choose, and a separate seating area for 3-4 people. Bathrooms are modern with coordinated tile work on showers, countertops, and floors, plus there's a large closet area. Drawbacks: The rooms lack a microwave and refrigerator, and there aren't any available on-site, making it challenging to store leftovers for breakfast. The outdoor pool is seasonal, and there's no hot tub, which might be a requirement for some guests. Overall, this is a nice and accommodating place with amenities like a café, movies, bowling, a kids' arcade, shoe shining, car rental, sightseeing reservations, a casino, valet parking, an event arena, shopping, and live entertainment. Despite the bustling activities downstairs, the rooms remain quiet and comfortable. I would recommend staying here, but consider bringing a microwave and a large cooler for added convenience.

The room was satisfactory, but I believe all accommodations should include a refrigerator and microwave without an extra charge, given the $30+ daily fee. While I recognize the strategy of encouraging guests to dine at the on-site restaurants, it would be convenient to have facilities for storing leftovers. Additionally, the bathroom window latch was broken, resulting in quite a bit of noise from the air conditioning unit. Despite this, The Orleans remains an excellent option for both adults and children.

We stayed at The Orleans in Las Vegas for four days and were quite disappointed with their housekeeping policy. We were not informed that housekeeping is only provided every three days, and this was not mentioned on their website. When we asked at the front desk, they confirmed this but couldn't explain why we weren't informed earlier. The toiletries, towels, and trash can space provided were inadequate for a stay of several days. Additionally, there were no microwaves in the rooms or available elsewhere in the hotel, which posed a significant inconvenience, particularly when needing to prepare food. On our first day, we were asked if we had placed a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, which we had not. However, on the second day, the front desk abruptly mentioned that their policy is to clean every three days. This felt misleading, as it wasn't communicated to us upfront. Overall, the lack of transparency, basic amenities, and unsatisfactory customer service made the stay quite frustrating. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families or anyone expecting reasonable service.

I'd strongly advise against staying at this hotel. We requested an extra blanket from housekeeping since the beds had no comforters, but it never arrived. Additionally, I had left some poker chips and cash on the table before stepping out to let housekeeping clean the room. When I returned, the chips and money were missing, and an empty soda can from the housekeeper was left in their place. After informing security about a potential theft, their response was that it might have been considered a "tip" or an "honest mistake," and I never received any follow-up. Moreover, during a poker game, I held three kings and was supposed to win the pot. However, the dealer quickly tried to claim a straight, which was clearly not possible. Luckily, the other players supported me, and after calling the pit boss, I was granted the win. If it hadn't been for a training class I needed to attend, I would have checked out immediately. The only redeeming aspects of this hotel are the food options and the fantastic valet service.

The Orleans in Las Vegas offers quite reasonable prices compared to other spots in the city. The casino's drink prices are very fair. The accommodations were comfortable, with nice rooms, cozy beds, and effective air conditioning. The casino’s exterior and themed decor added to the overall appeal. The pool area was adequate and pleasantly uncrowded. There's a variety of activities for kids, including bowling, a movie theater, and an arcade. The only downside is the location, which is in a somewhat rough area. Without a car, it might be challenging to get around, but staying within the hotel and casino premises ensures a good experience.

We stayed here for a night and genuinely enjoyed our experience! The lobby receptionist was friendly and accommodating, even securing us an early check-in. There's so much to do here: a full theater, great slots with good payouts, bowling, an amazing chocolate shop, and a tasty dinner at Fridays. The pool was surprisingly better than expected.
