The Golden Gate Hotel And Casino is the most historic hotel in the city. In operation since 1905, it has seen a bit of everything.
In the historic downtown area on Fremont Street, the Golden Gate Las Vegas offers a variety of accommodations, from standard rooms to penthouses, each meticulously decorated in a style paying tribute to its long history, from art deco touches to the swing era, to the Rat Pack days. The Prohibition Bar is a can't miss destination and is an experience all on its own, paying tribute to its long history as an old desert watering hole, through the wild times of the 1920s, the dark days of prohibition, the swinging days of the rat pack, and the city’s modern rebirth. This is a classic whiskey bar once frequented by the likes of Sinatra, Martin, and their buddies.
The Casino at the Golden Gate is a marvel in itself. Whether you prefer the traditional slots as played in years gone by, or the trendiest ones available, you’ll find them here. And the Dancing Dealers at the table games will keep you on your toes! All this, and just a few steps outside, you can experience Fremont Street at its most lively.

Fremont Street ExperienceBar Prohibition stands as a sort of back-handed homage to the age of Prohibition. The Golden Gate has lived through it once, and they sure aren't going back!
Bar ProhibitionJust in case you need a reminder that not all the action is on the Strip, One Bar at Golden Gate Las Vegas pulls out all the stops to keep you entertained and refreshed.
One BarThe Golden Gate Casino has been in operation since 1906, except for a period when, believe it or not, gambling was illegal in Las Vegas. She lived through the heydays of the roaring twenties, the era of the wild flappers and loud music. That spirit is still alive at the Golden Gate, where every night from 6 PM to 2 AM you are entertained by dancing dealers on the Casino floor. Gaming opportunities abound, from table games which could have been found in a bygone era, to more modern offerings like 3-card Poker, and Let It Ride. And the one-armed bandits now have electronic beeps and flashing lights as video poker and blackjack machines clang away for your attention. The choice of slots is amazing, from traditional to the newest available. Gaming is king at the Golden Gate Casino, which pays 10X odds on dice and 3-to-2 on all blackjack. For a historically good time, visit the Casino at Golden Gate.

Staying in the suites at Golden Gate is the way to go. The standard rooms are run-down and have a strange odor, even in non-smoking areas. A frustrating experience with customer service occurred when my partner forgot his key and phone and tried to call our room from the front desk. Despite giving our names, he was denied access and threatened with security involvement. This type of service is unacceptable.

During our stay at Golden Gate in Las Vegas, we had a slight issue during check-in, but the staff handled it with amazing professionalism and assistance. Kelvin went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and plenty of dining options. The room we stayed in was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect for couples or solo travelers.

Golden Gate is one of the best value hotels in downtown Las Vegas. We stayed in one of their suites and found it to be absolutely gorgeous and still very affordable. The regular rooms are a bit small but budget-friendly. The suites at Golden Gate have a surprising amount of space and are beautifully decorated, making for a very relaxing stay. The casino has a good vibe and great drink service, adding to the overall experience. In addition to the fantastic amenities and convenient location next to one of the Fremont Street stages, the service at Golden Gate is top-notch. The front desk staff, particularly Paige and another team member, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They stored our bags when we arrived early and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth stay. The outstanding service from the staff, including manager John, really made our experience memorable. If you're looking for a great place to stay in downtown Las Vegas, I highly recommend Golden Gate. It's a fantastic value with amazing amenities and exceptional service. I would definitely stay here again. 6 stars.

This is the oldest hotel I’ve been stayed, very conventional and classical style. Clean and affordable, 117 years history and very close to Fremont street, staffs are friendly. Please prepare a pair of ear plugs if you mind the music. Hotels is an historical cite and you can feel the backgrounds and developments of Las Vegas.

It was gell checking in. When we arrived, there were two receptionists, and t h e both had people they were checking in. We waited 15 minutes for the hotel staff to check them in. The hotel is old, and they have tried to make it nice for guests, but there us still that old hotel smell. There is only one bedside table. I'm not sure why, with a king-size bed, there will be two guests, so it is proper to odder each guest a table to put their things. I'm just saying. So... that's it.
