The D Hotel and Casino is located in Downtown Las Vegas towards the Eastern end of the Fremont Street Experience. It is home to 639 rooms spread throughout 34 floors.
This beautiful downtown Las Vegas property is owned and operated by brothers Derek and Greg Stevens, who own other famous hotels in the Fremont Street area. After a $22 million renovation in the Fall of 2012, The D Hotel and Casino got a complete rebranding for a more modern vibe. Luxury suites were added, and all of the guest rooms received an upgrade.
One of the many upgrades you'll find at The D is the addition of dancing dealers at the table games on the casino floor. Guests love this added touch of “Vegas”, and this, along with several casino floor updates, provide a gambling atmosphere usually reserved for higher priced strip hotels. If the first floor isn’t enough, the second floor of the D hotel features one of the only Sigma Derby game in Las Vegas on a vintage Vegas-themed floor.
Along with a bustling casino floor, The D offers many wonderful places to eat, including the Andiamo Steak House and American Coney Island. Andiamo serves premium American steaks alongside Italian favorites, and all dishes are made from scratch daily with the freshest ingredients.
American Coney Island is another excellent option for dining. This is a casual dining experience with traditional American cuisine. One of the most popular menu items is the Coney Island sausage smothered in chili sauce. Detroiters and visitors love this restaurant any time of day. The best news is that American Coney Island is open 24 hours.
Downtown Las Vegas is home to many wonderful attractions, making this hotel a hot spot for many tourists. The lights, parties, restaurants, museums, and concerts are just a short walk away from entertainment day or night. The Viva Vision light show plays right outside the D Hotel and Casino at the top of every hour from 6 pm to 2 am. This is a giant video screen that is a must-see venturing outside the hotel. This light show can’t be missed when walking on Fremont Street; look above as you walk.
Another great attraction within walking distance from the D Hotel is the Neon Museum. This exhibit collects and preserves iconic Las Vegas signs that were once part of the city of Las Vegas. It is a collection of pieces from the 1930s to the present day. This is a great exhibit to visit day or night and a little added adventure to your stay downtown.
The D Hotel and Casino is a one-of-a-kind Las Vegas experience with beautiful rooms, restaurants, and adventure.

The staff were unfriendly, and the music was blaring until 2 a.m., even on the 34th floor. Our room was uncomfortably hot due to faulty air conditioning, as was the entire floor. Despite having requested an early check-in for one of our four reserved rooms, we weren't accommodated until after 4 p.m. Additionally, I was constantly approached by solicitors on the casino floor. When these issues were raised during our stay, they were met with indifference. We later sent an email and received a $90 refund. Considering the high cost and numerous problems, I'll be spending my money elsewhere in the future. Speaking with the manager didn't change anything, as she seemed indifferent as well.

I had the pleasure of trying out the slot machines at The D Casino in downtown Las Vegas recently, and it was an enjoyable experience! Although I didn’t book a room, I spent considerable time exploring the casino floor. The place is impressively modern and impeccably maintained. The dimly lit, cozy setting added a touch of elegance and sophistication. They offer an excellent variety of games, and the staff were both welcoming and attentive. The prime location right on the Fremont Street Experience makes it a convenient spot to enjoy the vibrant downtown scene. For anyone searching for a contemporary casino with a stylish ambiance and a perfect downtown location, The D is a fantastic choice. I had a wonderful visit and would happily return for another round!

I stayed in a corner room that wasn't facing Fremont Street. The room was clean and had plenty of space. The staff was friendly and the concierge service was reliable. I did have one comment regarding the plumbing in my room but didn’t receive any feedback. Overall, it was a great stay and excellent value for the money.

**Hotel Stay Review – The D Hotel & Casino** A recent stay at The D Hotel & Casino offered a mix of experiences, but there were certainly some noteworthy highlights. **Check-In Experience:** The check-in process was a complete turnaround from previous visits. The night auditor on duty was extremely informative and welcoming, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly and making guests feel valued. His professionalism and friendliness set a positive tone for the stay. **Housekeeping Service:** Housekeeping, led by Mark, was exceptional. He provided daily service with great patience and dedication. His efforts significantly contributed to a comfortable stay, and such commitment from the staff was truly appreciated. **Security Concerns:** Unfortunately, interactions with security were disappointing. Similar to previous visits, there was an uncomfortable experience with security questioning the validity of being guests until verified. The encounter left an impression of racial profiling, which was both unnecessary and unsettling. As paying guests, such treatment should not be tolerated upon arrival or during the stay. Despite these challenges, the excellent service from the front desk and housekeeping staff stood out. However, The D Hotel & Casino must address the manner in which their security team engages with guests. The intention to return is strong due to the exceptional service provided by the night auditor and Mark, but it is hoped that management will closely examine and improve their security team’s approach.

Great value for a decent stay. The bed was clean and comfortable. The 19-inch television made us chuckle; it reminded me of my first apartment. The bathroom sink design could use some rethinking, as it doesn't drain well. Despite that, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the steakhouse experience was absolutely amazing.

This hotel is perfectly suitable for a short stay. The interior leans more towards "vintage charm" than modern luxury, but it’s clean and functional. The real standout feature is the price; you can often find great deals, making it a solid choice if you're traveling on a budget. It won't wow you, but if you need a decent place to sleep without spending too much, it fits the bill. Just don’t anticipate any frills or contemporary aesthetics!
