Canaletto in Las Vegas is a fantastic Italian restaurant that stands out among the rest. The value for your money is excellent, making it a highly recommended dining option.
Reflection Bay Golf Course is a tough course with unreal fast greens, running at about a 12 in mid January. I've played it twice in the winter and can't wait to experience it in the spring or fall. My only complaint is that the fertilizer they use stains the golf balls with a green dye component that is impossible to clean off. Despite this, it is still a top 10 course in my opinion and I look forward to playing it again in the future.
I had a really enjoyable stay at The D in Las Vegas. The suite we upgraded to was fantastic, although we did encounter a few issues with the air conditioning and televisions. However, the staff quickly addressed these problems. Randy and the front desk team were incredibly helpful during our stay. The coffee bar by the elevators was a convenient spot for a morning latte and bagel. The only negative experience we had was with an over-stressed security guard who reacted harshly when we used the pool phone to report a lack of towels. He came out yelling that the phone was only for emergencies, which was unexpected and unwelcoming. I reported the incident to the security office and received one follow-up call, but no further action was taken. In my experience in the hospitality industry, this kind of treatment towards guests is inexcusable.
During our recent visit to Las Vegas, my companion and I decided to book massages at Harrah's Spa. I called a week in advance to schedule an appointment, but was informed that I had to do so online. Despite being only six days away, I was told I could not make a reservation over the phone. As a result, we decided to book our massages at a different location, where we had previously enjoyed a positive experience. It was disappointing that we were unable to secure a booking at Harrah's Spa due to this policy.
SkyJump in Las Vegas is definitely a fun experience, although it's not a true freefall sensation. There is some friction and it feels more like a fast rappel down. Surprisingly, it's easier to jump than expected due to the tension in the cable holding you before you make the jump. The descent gets you up to about 45 mph before coming to an abrupt stop at the bottom. Be prepared to hit the concrete and use your legs to absorb some of the impact. I witnessed one person stumble a bit upon landing, so keep your legs ready. Concerns about neck and back sensitivity were present due to some jarring movements, but overall it was relatively comfortable. The secure harness and comfortable jumpsuit helped maintain a pleasant temperature throughout the experience. Despite the wind rushing by, I didn't need glasses and could fully enjoy the descent.
Visited La Cave for Saturday brunch and enjoyed the great atmosphere and butler-style all you can eat servings. The quality of the tastings was good, but the overall concept seemed a bit disjointed. Unfortunately, most of the tastings were lukewarm at best. One suggestion would be for the staff to clear dirty plates from the table more promptly to avoid crowding. Despite this, the scenery was nice.
Royal Brittania Gastropub in Las Vegas is not what you would expect from a traditional British pub, but the fish and chips were delicious. The menu lacked variety in terms of Brit food, so adding dishes like bangers and mash would definitely step up their game. Our server was friendly and attentive, allowing us to enjoy our dining experience.
P.F. Chang's China Bistro in Las Vegas is a fantastic restaurant with excellent staff, quick and efficient service, and delicious food at a fair price. The atmosphere is top-notch and the portions are generous.
This golf course is a fantastic choice for those seeking a semi-desert setting. The fairways may be narrow, but they are forgiving, and the greens are easily reachable. The course was in great condition when I played in June. I found the layout to be enjoyable and the staff went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. When our cart broke down on the 15th hole, they quickly brought us a replacement. I would rate my experience at Painted Desert Golf Club as 4.7 stars overall.
Excellent atmosphere at Centra in Las Vegas. However, they do not offer any draft beers. If that is your preferred drink, I suggest trying Flight and Aurora instead.
I highly recommend seeing O by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas. The show is incredible and the way they involve the audience is a favorite aspect of mine. The music is phenomenal and there are so many intricate details that I could watch it over and over again. The mix of intense performances and light-hearted skits keeps the show engaging. The costumes are also spectacular. Overall, a strongly recommended experience!
