Big AL's Oyster Bar in Las Vegas has always been a go-to spot for dining during my Vegas trips, but this recent visit fell short of expectations. The menu seems to have been streamlined, missing some of the favorites I used to enjoy, and the overall vibe just wasn't the same. However, our waitress truly stood out with her exceptional service, bringing a five-star experience and making the meal more enjoyable despite my food expectations not being met. Thank you all, but it's unlikely that I'll return.

Big AL's Oyster Bar in Las Vegas offers a delightful experience with its superb oysters and warm, welcoming service. Situated within the lively casino area, the restaurant has a bustling atmosphere and some background noise comes with it. It's an ideal spot to enjoy appetizers before exploring Fremont Street!

Big AL's Oyster Bar is a fantastic spot. The recent remodel looks great, and the new menu items are incredibly tasty. The Shrimp & Grits is a standout dish—absolutely delicious, a real treat for the palate. Highly recommended! Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable, making the dining experience even better.

During this visit, many items were sampled. The clam chowder and seafood chowder were absolutely awesome — packed with seafood, minimal potato, creamy, and rich. Highly recommend. The lobster roll is substantial in size and very good, especially for those who enjoy dill. As for the main course, the Jambalaya was to die for, the best ever experienced. Left very satisfied with reasonable pricing. Definitely planning a return on the next trip to Vegas.

It is always difficult to leave a negative review, but unfortunately, my recent dining experience at Big AL's Oyster Bar was far from satisfactory. I must admit that the chef who prepared our main dish did an exceptional job, as I remembered him from previous visits and he truly excels in his craft. However, the overall quality of the restaurant has declined significantly since my last visit before Covid. Upon arrival, we requested bar seating to avoid a long wait. The hostess took our phone number and assured us it would only take a few minutes to prepare the bar area. However, after 15 minutes of waiting at the podium, my husband noticed that there were several available tables and bar seats. We finally sat down and I ordered the seafood gumbo, which was inedible. It was extremely thick, salty, and tasted like it had been cooked days before. I exchanged it for the clam chowder, which was equally disappointing with its overly thick consistency. Throughout the meal, I observed tension between the staff and the manager, with the employee behind the counter visibly struggling. Service was chaotic, with waitresses rushing to attend to customers and fulfill orders. We had to repeatedly remind our waitress to take our orders and bring us drinks and food. We decided to order a dozen oysters for $45, which were not worth the price in terms of quality. Feeling disappointed and disgusted by the food, we ultimately left. Despite the friendly attitude of the manager towards the end of our meal, the overall experience was subpar compared to previous visits. If you do choose to dine at Big AL's Oyster Bar, I recommend sticking to dishes prepared by the head chef and avoiding the soups, gumbo, and salads. Proceed with caution and be prepared for a potentially disappointing dining experience, as the restaurant seems to have lost the charm it once had.

I absolutely adore Big AL's Oyster Bar. I've dined here multiple times and the food never disappoints. The service is top-notch, with a super-friendly waitress who actually remembered me from one visit to the next, even with months in between. A must-visit spot in Las Vegas for sure!
