This place is fun. It seems like you're in a whole alternate reality. The Peppermill is literally ALWAYS busy in the morning but on the bright side there is a huge lounge/bar you can wait in to have drinks. We had delicious morning beverages to start the day off right. The mains are HUGE and we all got the muffin on the side which is fresh out of the oven and with butter is enough to make a grown person cry. I would've been happy enough with just the muffin alone let alone the perfectly balanced morning - lightly boozed drink and actual breakfast dish. The breakfast itself was actually the biggest let down. I didn't much care for the texture of the scrambled eggs but happily ate the breakfast sausage. Overall, if you're not. in a rush for breakfast then I would definitely check it out. It's a fun spot!
Came here the night of Friday, Nov 11th. They had someone at the register who later told me he was new. Initially I just thought he was being rude when I would ask about the items. He was waiting for me to tell him about the product, shrugging or going to the counter to ask ppl in the back. They were out of spicy Mac n cheese & he told me I was able to get the Mac n cheese w/o the American cheese. I asked about other customizations like adding tomato, lettuce & onions. He asked whoever was behind the counter and came back to tell me “no”. Baffled, I asked why I was able to make customizations online but not in person. He shrugged & waited. Beginning to get frustrated, I asked for the manager. The manager or supervisor came from the back (he was preparing food) with an attitude. I asked him the same question, why was I able to make customizations online but not in person. He misunderstood the question saying explaining that is why I could not do it online. I explained again & he walked off while I was opening the app to show him. I asked the man at the register if he told him he was going to do the customizations & he said no. So I told him to ask him. When the manager finally came to the counter he said I could get whatever I ordered, clearly perturbed. When I ordered the Mac n cheese burger & pair I asked the cashier if he remembered no American cheese. He did not. When he asked the manager to do take off the American cheese, the man (I believe he was Latino) who was around the cashier throughout most of this exchange suddenly chimed in to say they can’t do that because it’s already mixed in to which the manager repeated. I ended up getting a regular burger. The food was good but the manager/supervisor was rude, the staff was not helpful and they shouldn’t have had the new guy out there by himself with no one readily on hand to help.
Very good Burgers!!!! Cooked just as ordered and they have a very wide selection. Could be Five Stars but that should be for elite food. Great portion sizes, and the Waffle fries were really good too. Came back later that night to try the Captain CrunchBerry milkshake and it was pretty good… Kinda basic but good, I like mine a little thicker but it tasted just like I thought it would. Had the Buffalo chicken egg rolls for lunch while gambling, thumbs up in those too.
