Went to Borracha for a little Mexican meal. This restaurant is inside the Green Valley Hotel and Casino in Henderson. This is a really fun place with really good tacos and refreshing margaritas. This time I had the shrimp tacos tacos with zesty grilled shrimp, and avocados, very good and tasty, and the tortillas/taco shells have a perfect balance texture. I also had a mango Margarita I must say it was expertly crafted with a nice pour of tequila. Sipping on one of their margaritas is like taking a vacation in a glass, transporting you to the sun-drenched beaches of Mexico. Aside from the fantastic food and drinks, Borracha offers a lively and fun atmosphere. The restaurant's vibrant decor and energetic ambiance create a fun setting where you can unwind and enjoy your meal. The walls are adorned with eye-catching artwork and murals that pay homage to Mexican culture, showcasing the beauty of the country. The plates themselves are also a visual delight, adorned with colorful patterns and designs that further enhance the dining experience. Also on Thursday for their Ladies' Night. With live music, and the best part? On Ladies' Night, you can enjoy half-priced sips and shots, making it an affordable way to indulge in Borracha's tantalizing drink menu. I have been here several times and continue to visit as it is a great local spot that always exceeds my expectations, food, service and ambiance.
What a great spot in Vegas! Amazing outdoor seating (with heaters for the cold months). Games inside. Beautiful inside and out. The food is really good. And the workers are very friendly. It's called beer park, but they also have mixed drinks and cocktails. Brisket Grilled Cheese is delicious! Great place to hit up while on the Vegas strip. Highly recommend.
What a nice place! This place offers a wide variety of Italian products, from fresh ingredients to prepared foods. It’s right across the street from MGM Grand, and it has a very nice atmosphere. It is known for its extensive selection of high-quality Italian food and beverages, which is followed by a higher price tag.
Second time at Guy Savoy. The first time was better. Almost slightly regretted we came here for our anniversary. We enjoyed the food, it’s balanced, elegant and delicious. The truffle soup and deserts were great . However we did not enjoy so much about the wine paring. As a wine student (and part time winemaker myself- couple of harvest seasons with Cbrands), I’ve always curious about wine and food paring. I asked some questions about the selections and wanted to know more about the nuances, but we did sense the annoyance from our somm. Probably because the restaurant was busy, and we understood he didn’t want to engage in a conversation. The paring itself was good to be fair, but we wish it can be more creative and the somm can be friendlier. Not a ridiculous ask for a meal you pay over $1500 for. Food and wine was solid, but a lot of times it’s the overall dining experience and the people that set outstanding restaurants apart from the good ones. In this case, Guy Savoy disappointed us. We will not come back most likely, and overall we don’t recommend for the food and wine paring.
Shadow Creek is the best golf course in Nevada and one of the best in America: The latest Golf Digest rankings have SC as the 27th best golf course in America. A veritable oasis amidst the glitz and glare of Las Vegas. This course is a testament to what human ingenuity, paired with a true love for the game, can produce in the most unexpected of terrains. This is like having Augusta in the middle of a desert, complete with green awnings at the clubhouse. It's also why the first "The Match" between Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods was played and televised here. From the very first tee, one is immediately transported to a different realm, far from the bustling heart of Sin City. The meticulous landscaping, the gentle undulations of the fairways, and the serenity of the water features all evoke the finest parklands I've seen around the world. You first ask, how in the world did they get all these pine trees to the desert? The course itself demands precision, but rewards bold play. Much like the philosophy I've always endorsed, golf is not just about strength, but about thinking, strategizing, and most importantly, respecting the course. And at Shadow Creek, respect is something you learn quickly. Tom Fazio designed each hole with such intricate details that even the most seasoned golfers will find themselves pausing to rethink their usual strategies. But more than the challenge it poses, what truly captivated me about Shadow Creek is its commitment to the essence of golf. Despite being in the middle of the desert, it manages to echo the greenery and tranquility of the sport's Scottish origins. Of course, the facilities and service are second to none. From the attentive staff to the top-tier amenities, every aspect of the Shadow Creek experience speaks of luxury and class. The practice facilities are world-class. Yet, what stands out the most is how the course makes one feel. Even with all my years in golf, playing on countless courses, it’s rare to find one that elicits such a profound sense of awe and admiration. Shadow Creek isn't just a golf course, it's a reminder of why we fell in love with this game in the first place. Amid Las Vegas, Shadow Creek shines not just as a beacon of golfing excellence, but as a tribute to the timeless spirit of the game.
