I recently stayed at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas for the second time and I was once again impressed. The check-in process was efficient and the rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The hotel has a variety of dining options and the staff inside was friendly. However, I was taken aback by the valet staff, who seemed to pressure me for donations when dropping off and picking up my vehicle. Despite this, valet service is complimentary. Overall, I had a great stay at Virgin Hotels but the valet experience was a bit off-putting.
Gem Bar in Las Vegas is a disappointing place to visit. As the night goes on, the service and cleanliness of the bar decline significantly. It is dirty and poorly maintained, with piles of dirty glasses and used napkins scattered around. The surfaces are never wiped down, making for an unpleasant environment. Even the drinks are served in dirty glasses, giving off a tacky vibe. Overall, this bar lacks substance and is overpriced for the quality of service provided. Just a dirty establishment.
I had the opportunity to play at Boulder City Golf Course and I found it to be a very pleasant experience. The greens were well-maintained and really added to the enjoyment of my round. The only downside was the pace of play, which was a bit slow. However, I would still recommend this course for a day of golf.
Mi Casa Grill Cantina in Las Vegas definitely serves up some of the best nachos I've ever had. The portion size was generous, and even after sharing with another person, there was still plenty to go around. We opted to sit in the bar area, so the service may have been better in the restaurant section. The staff was friendly, although we did have a bit of trouble getting drink refills in a timely manner. It was a Saturday night, so they were likely busy. Despite this, the food was fantastic and definitely worth a visit.
My recent experience with the entry personnel at Foundation Room was extremely disappointing. I attended a private event held by my company to celebrate our achievements. Despite having the necessary credentials and invitation, I was met with unnecessary resistance from the personnel at the door. I was asked to step outside the ropes and show my credentials, which I did. Even after confirming my name on the list, I was then asked for a photo ID to prove my age. Despite not being informed to bring my ID, I explained that I did not intend to drink as the beverages were covered by the company. However, I was still denied entry without an ID. The entire situation was embarrassing and unnecessary, especially considering my age. I requested the names of the personnel involved, but they declined to provide them. I ultimately decided to take photos to document the poor service I received. I cannot recommend this establishment based on the disrespectful treatment I received. It was clear that the personnel lacked proper customer service skills and did not uphold the standards expected for a private event. This experience greatly diminished the celebratory mood of the evening and should not have happened.
We had a special Valentine's Day dinner at Le Cirque and it was a memorable experience. The set menu was $345 per person for a 4-course meal, which was a bit pricey but the food was exceptional. I would have preferred to try their 8-course meal for the same price, but maybe next time. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was elegant with attention to detail. Our total bill came to almost $1,000 with tips, including drinks like a bottle of sparkling non-alcoholic cocktail and espresso martini. Overall, it was a great experience but on the expensive side. For a more reasonable option, I recommend trying Picasso at the Bellagio. Nonetheless, we were happy with our choice for Valentine's Day at Le Cirque.
