Luxor in Las Vegas is a nice hotel with a great location. During my stay, there was a strange situation where security knocked on my door at 9 am for an inspection due to a high profile event happening. While my friends in another room were not checked, I understand it was Superbowl Sunday. Other than that, I enjoyed a nice view of the stadium, a good food court, and a nice casino.
The food market concept at Eataly is fantastic. There is a wide range of options to suit various tastes. The lines were a bit lengthy, but the food was served in a reasonable amount of time. We tried the fried calamari & zucchini as well as a sandwich, and both were delicious. I am eager to sample their pastries and desserts in the future.
Lucille's BBQ in Las Vegas is a fantastic restaurant. The decor inside is wonderful, creating a cozy atmosphere. The barbecue dishes are delicious, with the brisket being particularly outstanding. I highly recommend upgrading to the loaded mashed potatoes for a tasty addition to your meal. The greens have a slight kick to them that adds the perfect amount of flavor. The service is quick and the staff is very courteous. The only downside was the buttermilk chocolate cake, which was a bit dry. Despite this, I will definitely be returning to Lucille's BBQ.
Alder & Birch in Las Vegas gets a solid 4 stars from me. Our server was professional and nice. The ambiance is beautiful and perfect for large parties. I ordered the Rib Eye Steak, Asparagus, Baked Potato, Lamb Chops, Short Rib, House Chopped Salad, and Tempura Rock Shrimp. The steaks and lamb were cooked perfectly, and the asparagus was a nice touch. The Tempura Rock Shrimp was my favorite dish, I even returned the next day to have it again. The creme brulee and baked potato were my least favorites. On my second visit, I ordered the House Chopped Salad and found it to be overdressed, so I had to return it. Overall, the service was good and the food was delicious. I would definitely return to Alder & Birch in the future.
