While visiting Las Vegas, my group and I dined at Grand Lux Cafe at the Palazzo. The prices were fair and great for a casual meal, although the food itself was nothing out of the ordinary. However, we found the atmosphere and service to be above average. While it may not be a top favorite of mine, I would still return and suggest others give it a try.
I was extremely eager to experience the charm of the Original 47 rooms at El Cortez and decided to upgrade to a suite. Upon entering the room, I noticed a noticeable layer of dust on the tables and drink rings, which I initially attributed to the age of the hotel. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room continued to deteriorate. The bed was unmade and covered in hair, the bathroom was dirty, and the vanity surfaces were grimy with dirt and hair. The condition of the floor was also disappointing. When I brought my concerns to the front desk, I was met with a lack of understanding and was told that someone had supposedly been sent to clean the room multiple times with no results. I did receive a refund for the amenity fee, which was a kind gesture, but I was left wishing for a fully refunded room or a cleaner space to stay in. I would recommend visiting El Cortez to see the charming lobby, but I would suggest staying elsewhere if you are looking for a cleaner accommodation without feeling grossed out.
Recently visited La Salsa Cantina at Miracle Mile Shops in Las Vegas after watching a show. We were seated promptly and served delicious chips and salsa. Our server was attentive and friendly. The Fajitas platter we shared was tasty, but the chicken was a bit dry. The cheese enchiladas were good, but the chicken soft taco was not recommended. The beans, rice, and side items were all delicious. Overall, I would rate this place a 3 out of 5, but our server definitely deserves an extra star for her great service.
