The service and prices at Primarily Prime Rib in Las Vegas are excellent. I ordered the Rodeo Cut prime rib and it came with a table-side tossed spinach salad that was perfectly dressed. The prime rib was served with a huge fully loaded baked potato. The atmosphere was reminiscent of an old school steakhouse, which I really enjoyed. Being off the strip seemed to result in lower prices for the steak. Overall, a great place to satisfy a craving for prime rib.
I must admit, I was disappointed with my experience at Pasta Cucina at Sunset Station last night. This restaurant is usually one of my favorites, and I frequent it often during my stays at the hotel. My partner and I enjoy the food and have always had positive interactions with the staff. We arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before their late night happy hour was set to end. The bartender seemed overwhelmed and made it clear that they would be closing soon. Despite his rushed attitude, we quickly placed our order to accommodate their schedule. The food, as always, was delicious, but we felt pressured to eat quickly as the bartender was clearly ready to leave. We ended up taking most of our meal back to our room to finish later. I believe that if a restaurant advertises happy hour until close, customers should be made to feel welcome regardless of the time they arrive. While I will definitely return to Pasta Cucina in the future, I will likely avoid sitting at the bar if this particular bartender is working. It's unfortunate that one person's attitude can impact the overall dining experience. I hope that future visits will be more pleasant and relaxed.
The pool at Resorts World in Las Vegas was a cool spot, although on the smaller side and overlooked a construction area. I'm sure the future view will be improved once construction is completed. I really enjoy Resorts World as one of the newer and better hotels in the area.
