Recent visit to Sundance Grill: The atmosphere and service remained consistent during my visit. However, the food quality was lacking. The clam chowder was overly salty and the Chicken Alfredo was too thick with an overwhelming parmesan flavor. We chose to sit in the raised "VIP" area at the end of the restaurant and noticed that the roof was extremely dirty, with dust on the air vents and hanging down from the ceiling. Additionally, the ramp in the "VIP" area was blocked by chairs, causing inconvenience for a wheelchair-bound customer who had to be carried down the steps. Overall, the food was not up to par during this visit. The service was slow due to limited staff, even though the employees were helpful and hardworking. This seems to be a common issue at Sundance Grill. The unique decor and layout of the restaurant still adds a nice touch, and the prices are reasonable, especially with deals for Silverton rewards members. Making a reservation online may not guarantee a smooth seating process, as it was not reflected in their system upon arrival.
I recently purchased 2 tickets from Groupon for a 15-minute helicopter flight over the Strip with 702 Helicopters Inc. We opted for a late evening flight, which was a lovely experience. There is a $15 fuel charge per rider in addition to the ticket price. Our pilot was very professional and our hosts, although I can't recall their names, were friendly and answered all of our questions. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for my mom's birthday celebration.
Zenshin offered a serene and tidy atmosphere, with lovely decor and a soothing ambiance. However, the service at our table left something to be desired, possibly due to understaffing during shift changes. The Happy Hour menu featured a variety of delicious and affordable options, including the mouthwatering pork bun that we couldn't resist ordering a second one of.
The flavors of the Pho'rench Dip at Lardo were fantastic! The beef was full of Thai flavors and really impressed me. If you're unsure of what to order, this sandwich is a must-try! I also enjoyed the Bronx Bomber, which seemed to be a twist on the classic chopped cheese sandwich. While not as adventurous as the Pho'rench Dip, it was still delicious. Although we didn't try the fries, I saw them being prepared and they looked amazing.
Located in the back of the Sunset Station Casino, Oyster Bar is known for serving up delicious Louisiana/low country style seafood dishes in Las Vegas. The Pan Roast Combo stands out as one of the most flavorful options on the menu - filling, hearty, and truly mouthwatering, especially when paired with crusty, buttered bread. The hurricane cocktail is a must-try, reminiscent of a tasty rum punch. For a unique dining experience, take a seat at the bar and watch the skilled chefs cook your meal right in front of you. This hidden gem has been a locals' secret for years, providing a must-try seafood option off the Strip with free parking!
The bartender at Gustav's Bar was fantastic - always making sure our drinks were topped up and keeping the atmosphere lively. Cheers to that!
BEST night ever at Press in Las Vegas! Huge shoutout to Ms. Carrie Noonam, the Press Manager, and Aldo, for making our evening absolutely awesome. What started as a not so good experience turned into a wonderful birthday celebration. Thank you for the superior customer service!
Visited Dawg House Saloon & Sportsbook at Resorts World recently and had mixed feelings about the experience. As a Hilton Gold or Diamond member, this is the only restaurant in the hotel where you can redeem your breakfast credit, which is somewhat disappointing considering the quality of the food. The menu consists of heavy, mediocre bar food that may not be what you're looking for at 9AM. However, with a $50 credit per day for reservations of 2 or more guests, you can still get a decent meal here. On our last morning, we decided to splurge since we knew we wouldn't have time for breakfast the next day. Despite ordering 2 entrees, a carafe of mimosas, and a coffee and shot of Jameson, we still didn't come close to using our $100 credit. The fact that they applied the credit to the tip was a nice surprise. Overall, I would have preferred to use the credit at the hotel restaurant Sun's Out, Buns Out, which specializes in breakfast sandwiches. Hopefully, they will consider expanding the options for redeeming the breakfast credit in the future.
