Spa Aquae is a bit of a mixed bag for me. There were definitely some aspects that I really enjoyed, but there were also a few things that missed the mark. I treated myself to a pedicure while my friend indulged in a massage, both of which were top-notch and reasonably priced for a Vegas spa. The front desk attendant, Jasmine, was incredibly welcoming, and the facilities were well-maintained with most amenities in working order (although the outside pool relaxation jets were out of commission during my visit). One standout feature of Spa Aquae is the access to an outdoor co-ed private pool, co-ed steam room, and co-ed sauna, which added a unique touch to the experience. However, I did notice some small details that were lacking. There were no iced towels, snacks, or beverage options beyond water and a coffee/tea maker. When I inquired about this, I was told they had run out of juice and snacks. It seemed like a missed opportunity for such a well-established spa not to provide basic refreshments for guests spending an extended period there. My friend also had an issue with noisy patrons in the women's area who were using their phones, which disrupted her relaxation. It was surprising that the staff didn't address this, as most spas enforce quiet and relaxation in all areas. Despite these issues, I truly did enjoy my time at Spa Aquae, and I believe that with a few adjustments, it could easily become one of the top spas in Vegas. I recommend it with the hope that they address these minor flaws, as the little things truly do make a big difference in creating a relaxing and rejuvenating spa experience.
The food at TGIF in Las Vegas was good and the server was very attentive. This location is inside Sam's Town Casino, with ample parking available. We did have to ask for new silverware as the ones we were given were dirty and the spoon was bent, but overall it was a good experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you! ☺️
Definitely recommend trying the Shroom Burger at Shake Shack in Las Vegas. It's the best veggie burger I've ever had, made with a crunchy portobello mushroom patty stuffed with cheese. The flavor is amazing and there's none of that typical mushroom taste. The buttery bread adds a nice touch too. The chicken sandwich was decent - juicy and crunchy - but I preferred the Shroom Burger. It's great that they offer non-beef options as well. The shakes were also good, with a more delicate flavor compared to other brands. Perfect for a summer treat.
The meal I had at Saltgrass Steak House was fantastic and my friends were pleased as well. The steak was delicious and the mashed potatoes were perfect. I will definitely be returning. Thank you.
I was disappointed with Potted Potter in Las Vegas. Despite being a huge Harry Potter fan, the show fell short of my expectations. The humor seemed geared towards a younger audience who enjoy slapstick comedy and exaggerated acting. The constant introductions and re-introductions of the performers made the show feel unnecessarily dragged out. The small stage made it difficult for others to see, so stepping out wasn't an option. Some may call it a parody, but I found it more of a butchered version of Harry Potter. It felt more like a mix of The Wiggles and Who's Line rather than a fun roast of the beloved series. Overall, my experience with Potted Potter was underwhelming.
I wish Hawaiian restaurants were more popular in my area. Aloha Specialties in Las Vegas offers the best Hawaiian food I've had since my visit to Hawaii in 2021. The kalua pork was absolutely delicious, the loco moco was nostalgic, and the Kfc was exactly as I like it. The prices are very affordable for Vegas. I highly recommend paying a visit to Aloha Specialties.
This show was the first time I didn't zone out at all. Gerry had the audience captivated from beginning to end with his impressive performance.
